  • Patent number: 4494276
Abstract: A feeding machine 1 has a sausage conveying device 5 with a feeding arm 6 which moves in a conically circular manner around a smoking rod 7. Endless conveyer belts 8, 9, 19 are arranged in the device 5 between which the sausage chains 3 are transported from the rear to the front. The smoking rod 7 is clamped in a receiving device 2 in a longitudinally movable way and is located in the center axis of a cone determined by the circular movement. The receiving device 2 and the feeding machine 1 are connected with each other such that the conically circular movement of the feeding arm and the longitudinal movement of the smoking rod can be adjusted relative to each other. Depending on the rotational velocity of the conically circular movement or the withdrawal velocity of the smoking rod, larger or smaller loops develop at different distances.

  • Patent number: 4447933
Abstract: A gut casing holding nozzle includes a rotating fill tube 1 with a gut casing holding element 4 on its end. This is surrounded by a conical section 5, which is mounted in a mounting 8. Between the conical section 5 and the gut casing holding element 4 there is an annular slot for the gut casing to pass through. The conical section 5 is attached to the mounting 8 with radial and axial play, with the mounting 8 able to rotate. Two anchoring pins 13 attached to the mounting 8 are inserted into cavities 14 in the conical section 5, so as to cause that piece to rotate along with the mounting. In so doing automatic centering of the conical section 5 as compared to the fill tube 1 is guaranteed. Even out-of-round conditions in the fill tube or variations in gut casing wall thicknesses are compensated for automatically. The gut casing holding device is suited for high speed work conditions.

  • Patent number: 4402466
Abstract: A cutter and mixer apparatus for foodstuffs has a bowl 4 rotatably mounted in a housing. Rotary knives 10 are attached to a shaft 16 and extend into the bowl. The bowl is covered by two hoods 31, 32 which are hinged approximately in the middle above the bowl and can be swung up and open opposite one another. Below the bowl a primary plate 3 is situated on whose one end a vertical sidewall 20 is welded. An angled yoke 24 spans the bowl and is attached at one end to the sidewall and at the other end to the opposite side of the primary plate. The plate, sidewall and yoke form the support frame for the apparatus on which all important functional parts are attached. The closed construction provides for an efficient power transfer and a high level of stability.

  • Patent number: 4129923
Abstract: A sausage stuffing apparatus including a gripper apparatus for a sausage strand in which constricting forks are pivotable about their fastenings to movable chains. Provided on the gripper apparatus is at least one guide element for the pivotable guidance of the constricting forks, this guide element effecting the forks dividing the sausage strand into sausage lengths immediately after an end cone produces a constriction of the sausage strand, and successively again releasing the strand, and wherein the guide element is adjustably arranged in such a manner whereby the length of the engagement of the forks into the sausage strand is adjustable. At least one additional guide means is fixedly arranged on the gripper apparatus ahead of the constricting position.
