Abstract: A writing instrument with an operating side, with a writing side with a nib, with a tank which can be filled with liquid writing medium, with a piston, which is movable within the tank, and with an operating element arranged on the operating side for axial adjustment of the piston within the tank. The writing instrument is characterized in that the operating element can be brought by a user from a first axial position, namely an idle position, in which it is held axially in position in particular with locking, into a second axial position which differs axially from the idle position, namely an operating position, in which the operating element has a larger distance to the nib in comparison with the idle position and in which the operating element can be gripped by the user and moved for the axial adjustment of the piston.

Abstract: A writing instrument, having a writing tip and a writing part, which can receive a writing medium reservoir for the writing instrument, and having a removal aid which is releasably connected to the writing part for assisting the removal of a writing medium reservoir, which can be arranged or is arranged in the writing part, which removal aid having a receiving space for a connectable portion of the writing medium reservoir and one or more connecting parts for releasably connecting the removal aid to the connectable portion of the writing medium reservoir. The or each connecting part is configured such that, by the connecting part bearing against the connectable portion of the writing medium reservoir, the removal aid can be connected or is connected thereto by a releasable frictional connection.

Abstract: A writing instrument having a writing part, having a writing tip, and having a protective cap which protects, the writing tip and is releasably connectable to the writing part. For the releasable connection between the cap and writing part, the writing part has several connecting structures, each with a connecting region which is curved in an ellipsoidal, ball-shaped manner, such as balls or semi-spheres, and the cap has an internal thread on the inside. The internal thread of the cap and the connecting structure of the writing part are positioned and aligned with each other in such a manner that, in each case with the cap in a state fastened on the writing part, the connecting region of the respective connecting structure engages completely or in part in a or the thread of the internal thread.

Abstract: A writing implement comprising a housing (2), a writing cartridge (4) arranged in the housing in a movable manner, and a control unit that displaces the writing cartridge between a first position in which the cartridge tip (6) protrudes from the housing for writing, and a second position in which the cartridge is retracted into the housing. In the first position the writing implement has a total length suitable for writing, and in the second position the writing implement is contracted. The writing implement exhibits improved handling without major structural modification, so that the writing implement can be brought into the writing position and also extended in a single hand movement. To achieve this the implement is provided with a depressor (8) which is configured as an extension of the housing and can be actuated to move the writing cartridge between the first and second positions, and which in the first position extends out from the rear end of the housing.

Abstract: A writing instrument including a clip which can be retracted into an opening of a barrel, and an operating unit which has a pushbutton and an operating cam. The writing instrument can be operated by a single operating means, while the clip can function only when the writing cartridge is retracted. The operating cam and a guide slot are disposed in a common cam member connected with the pushbutton. The clip has a projection which terminates in the interior of the barrel and engages the guide slot.
