Patents Assigned to C&L Instruments
  • Patent number: 7245368
Abstract: A chamber is provided having a main body and one or two optical plates that are held to the main body by O-rings or other seal forming elements using forces created by vacuum and/or chemical adhesion. The chamber, in which a sample well holds a specimen, is formed from the optical elements that function as observation windows, being held to the main body from one side only by the seal forming elements.

  • Patent number: 6429936
Abstract: A multichannel system for synchronizing independently driven filter wheels. The system is comprised of a means for controlling operation of the system by providing appropriate instructions. A clock provides timing signals to assure that instructions are executed at the correct time. A device having a programmable memory with the ability to receive and transmit signals is in communication with the clock and the control means. This programmable memory device, in response to a signal from the control means executes a preselected program and transmits a signal in response to an instruction receive from the control means. Two assemblies, each comprised of a programmable motor controller, a motor driver and a motor are attached to an encoder and a filter wheel having a plurality of filters. The assemblies are connected to a power source.

  • Patent number: 4086576
Abstract: The deflection of an axle when under load is monitored by at least one load monitoring device mounted on the axle. At least one pair of strain gauge elements forms each load monitoring device, the strain gauge elements of each pair being arranged to measure strain in different directions. An amplifier is connected to the load monitoring device and adapted to emit a signal depending upon the load. A comparator circuit is connected to the amplifier, the comparator circuit being arranged to activate an alarm should the signal received from the amplifier exceed a predetermined value. Preferably the comparator circuit is adapted to both emit a continuous signal when the system is energized and the load on the axle is smaller than a predetermined weight, and to change the signal to another signal when the load exceeds the predetermined weight, the signal being used to control the alarm.

  • Patent number: 3974505
Abstract: A recording device comprising means for supporting a first record and a second record in adjacent parallel relationship, recording pens for recording data on said first and second records, means for displacing said records relative to said recording pens, and roller for deflecting at least part of said first record out of the plane of the undeflected part of the record whereby data recorded on both records can be scanned from a common direction.
