  • Publication number: 20120214656
Abstract: The method relates to application of a transparent film (3) to a window (2) realised in a portion of paper (1), the portion of paper (1) being defined in a continuous strip (10) destined to be wound in a reel. The film (3) exhibits larger dimensions than the window (2), such that a frame (30) is defined about the window (2), a total thickness of which is given by the portion of paper (1) plus the film (3). The method includes a stage of pressing with which at least a part of the frame (30) is brought to a total thickness which is not greater than an original thickness of the portion of paper (1). This enables the strip (10) to be wound strictly adheringly in the various spires thereof.

  • Patent number: 8210526
Abstract: A device for horizontally rotating flat articles supplied along a transport line (L) has a sliding plane (2) for restively receiving articles (F) in transit between the upstream and downstream branches (RM, RV). Two drawing groups are flanked and activated independently, each constituted by a lower roller (13, 14) and an upper roller (23, 24) rotating in an opposite direction, the rollers adheringly engaging with upper and lower surfaces of the flat articles (F). Command organs (10) activate the first and second drawing groups (3, 4), first in a same direction in phase relation with an entry of a flat article (F) arriving from the upstream branch (RM) and then in opposite directions in order to horizontally rotate the flat article (F) by a predetermined angle, and once more in a same direction for directing the rotated flat article (F) towards the downstream branch (RV) of the transport line (L), in a direction parallel to the entry direction.

  • Patent number: 7975831
Abstract: A conveying apparatus is capable of changing the forward motion direction (V1) of sheet articles (10) by means of a first rotating diverting member (4) situated above a lower active run (2h) of a second conveyor (2). The second conveyor is disposed at an angle (H1) with respect to the first conveyor (1) and the first rotating diverting member (4) is shaped like a cam with an active portion (4h) for moving the sheet article to the second conveyor without changing orientation of the sheet article. A third conveyor (3) can be added, at an angle (H2) with respect to the second conveyor, with a second rotating diverting member (5) for moving the sheet articles from the second conveyor to the third conveyor (3) without changing orientation of the sheet articles.

  • Patent number: 7896227
Abstract: An apparatus (100) recognizes user identifying data, stored in a support, for joining the support to a document containing personal information. A plurality of reading devices (12) read and recognize the data stored in each support (11). A work unit (L) has a work surface (1) on which the reading devices (12) are placed, the work surface (13) rotated to convey angularly the reading devices (12), so that each of them is placed subsequently in a position corresponding to a first section (S1) and to a second section (S2) of the work unit (L). First conveying means (T1) convey the supports (11) to a respective reading device (12). Second conveying means (T2) then convey the supports (11) from the reading device (12) to a section (20) of a feeding line (A), so as to join the support (11) to corresponding documents (D), fed to the section (20).

  • Publication number: 20100066011
Abstract: A method and device for detecting and counting articles released by a feeder device, in particular sheet articles released by a sheet feeder are described. The device comprises: an electromagnetic resonator (11) fed by a signal generator (12), to generate an electromagnetic field in a passage region (9) of said sheet articles (3); a sensor (13) connected to the electromagnetic resonator (11) for detecting the induced disturbances in the electromagnetic field following the passage of one or more superimposed sheet articles (3); and a control unit (14) connected to the sensor (13) for calculating the number of sheet articles (3), which pass from time to time across the passage region (9). In particular, the electromagnetic resonator (11) is of recess type and in it an aperture (7) is made which makes said recess (8) communicating with the outside; whereby the resonator (11) is arranged so that the aperture (7) is disposed at the passage region (9).

  • Patent number: 7536842
Abstract: In a machine for filling box-like containers with articles arranged side by side and vertically, a station (1) forms a row (11) of articles (10), overlapped at least partially. An article feeding apparatus (2), functionally interposed between the outlet section of the forming station (1) and a filling station (3), operates between a rest configuration (I) and a work configuration (A). When in the work configuration, the apparatus transfers the articles (10) from the outlet section into a box-like container (4), placed in the filling station (3), and directs the articles in a vertical orientation, to define a prefixed filling condition of the first container (4). A conveyor (5) supports the series of box-like containers and is operated, in step relation with the speed of feeding of the articles (10), fed by the articles feeding apparatus (2), so as to move the box-like containers in a container feeding direction (G).

  • Patent number: 7475522
Abstract: An envelope filling machine for introducing sheets into envelopes includes a sliding surface, for transferring the sheets to an envelope filling station by means of pushing lugs, operated along the sliding surface. An envelope supplying conveyor supplies individual envelopes to the station placing them between vertical shafts of a pair of screws. The turns of the screws hold the sides of the envelopes and move each envelope downwards keeping the envelope separated from a subsequent envelope. When the envelope has come to rest on a conveyor belt placed between and under the screws, the lugs push the sheets into the envelope kept steady by movable stop strips yieldingly maintained by elastic means. When the sheets are fully inserted, the lugs push the envelope and force the movable strips to swing and let the filled envelope leave the envelope filling station.
