Abstract: A method and device includes measuring a multiple-phase fluid flowing through a pipe. The inventive method includes the following steps in which: a fluid is illuminated using a first coaxial probe placed in contact with the liquid phase of the fluid, and a first electromagnetic wave is emitted at a high frequency. The admittance at the interface between the first probe and the fluid is measured, and the fractions of at least two constituents of the liquid phase are calculated in order to obtain the effective permittivity (?1) of the phase. The method also includes the following steps in which: the fluid is illuminated using a second coaxial probe and a second electromagnetic wave is emitted at a low frequency. The admittance at the interface between the second probe and the liquid is measured, and the thickness (e) of the liquid is measured. The aforementioned calculation is performed on the basis of the calculated effective permittivity (?1) and the admittance measured by the second probe.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for preparing a synthetic talc composition. According to said method, a kerolite composition is subjected to an anhydrous thermal treatment carried out at a pressure lower than 5 bar, from over a few hours up to over a few days, at a treatment temperature higher than 300° C. The invention also relates to a synthetic talc composition prepared in this way, the synthetic talc particles of the composition being exclusively of chemical formula —(Si4)Mg3O10(OH)2— and identifiable, during X-ray diffraction, by the presence of a characteristic diffraction peak located at a distance of between 9.40-9.68 and corresponding to a plane (001). Said synthetic talc particles also have a thermally stable crystalline structure of stacked laminae, which is very similar to that of a natural talc and has a particle size smaller than approximately ten micrometers.

Abstract: The present invention relates to materials exhibiting the property of rubbery elasticity, consisting of molecules with a mass of between 9 and 9000 g/mol, all or some of the molecules having at least three groups (also referred to as “associative groups”) capable of associating via non-covalent interactions. Although consisting of small non-polymerized molecules that are not chemically crosslinked, this material exhibits properties of rubbery elasticity. According to an embodiment of the invention, this material exhibits rubbery elasticity at ambient temperature. Above a certain temperature, the material flows like a simple liquid. The material is thermoreversible, i.e. after cooling, the material again exhibits the property of rubbery elasticity. This material is self-repairing and potentially recyclable, which is never the case with a chemically crosslinked elastomer.
