Abstract: A wiper for a vehicle includes an elongated wiper strip, a backing extending in the longitudinal direction of the wiper strip, and a blade holder for holding the wiper strip and the backing. The blade holder includes a pair of side surfaces that face in opposite directions. The wiper also includes a coupling member and a wiper arm. The coupling member has a pair of side walls, which face the corresponding side surfaces, and is attached to the blade holder. The wiper arm has a distal coupling portion attached to the coupling member. When the distal coupling portion is attached to the coupling member, side cover walls of the distal coupling portion are each engaged with the corresponding side wall of the coupling member.
