Patent number: 6912355Abstract: The invention relates to an evaporation device (4) for the evaporation of volatile active substances, in particular aromatic substances and/or insecticides, including a housing (3) and a heating device (2) within the housing having a heating body (1), capable of being heated to an evaporation temperature for the evaporation of the active substance. According to the invention, the heating body (1) is in formed from a heat-conducting synthetic material encapsulating a heating element (5). Heat from the heating element is transferred through the heat conducting heating body to evaporate the active substance. A heating device (2) of this type can be produced easily and economically with little manufacturing expenditure. The invention furthermore relates to a heating device to be used in a device for the evaporation of volatile active substances as well as to a method for the production of the heating device.Type: GrantFiled: January 8, 2004Date of Patent: June 28, 2005Assignee: C.T.R., Consultoria Tecnica e Representacoes Lda.Inventor: Pedro Queiroz Vieira

Patent number: 6896196Abstract: A container (1) for volatile substances which can be evaporated by an evaporation device is disclosed having a container body (2) in which the volatile substances are contained. A container neck (3) extends away from the container body (2) in which a container opening (4) is formed. Furthermore, a wick retaining insert (8) in the form of a cylindrical sleeve is provided that can be placed in the container opening (4) of the container neck (3). There is an insert wick passage (9) for the insertion of the wick (10) having an outside wall (13) which presses, at least partially, against an inside container neck wall (15) in a wick clamping connection when inserted. Wick retention is provided by the insert so that wick (10) is secured from being pulled out of the container (1) when inserted. According to the invention wick (10) can be inserted through wick passage (9) of wick retaining insert (8) when the wick retaining insert is not inserted.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 2002Date of Patent: May 24, 2005Assignee: C.T.R. Patent number: 6501906Abstract: The present invention relates to an evaporation device 1 for volatile substances, in particular insecticides and/or aromatics, which includes a housing 2 and a heating unit 10 located therein. Heating Unit 10 comprises a heating block 11 in which an electric resistance element 15 is contained for heating. In addition device 1 includes a container 3 that can be connected to housing 2 for a substance to be evaporated. A wick 6 can be inserted into the container with a wick end 8 protruding from the container 3 for the evaporation of the substance contained in the container 3 to be heated by the heating unit. According to the invention, electric resistance element 15 advantageously includes a rod-shaped resistance body 17 coated, at least in some areas, with a resistance layer 16 that is cut to provide a predetermined resistance value according to the composition of the substance to be evaporated.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2001Date of Patent: December 31, 2002Assignee: C.T.R.
