Publication number: 20230372962Abstract: System and process that continuously circulates hotmelt adhesive at a circulating pressure rate to apply hotmelt adhesive to a moving substrate on a substrate delivery conveyor. The system includes an adhesive delivery line connected to an elongated manifold, the manifold including: (i) a main internal fluid pathway in fluid communication with the adhesive delivery line and an adhesive return line, and (ii) an elongated heater providing a substantially constant internal temperature to the elongated manifold. An adhesive pump transporting hotmelt adhesive from the adhesive reservoir to the adhesive delivery line under pressure, the adhesive reservoir including a filter that filters hotmelt adhesive. A plurality of hotmelt spray heads in fluid communication with the main internal fluid pathway to dispense hotmelt adhesive onto the moving substrate. The adhesive return line in fluid communication with the adhesive pump and/or the adhesive reservoir to transport hotmelt adhesive from the elongated manifold.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 31, 2023Publication date: November 23, 2023Applicant: C3 CorporationInventors: Joseph F. Patent number: 11787655Abstract: A variable roll cage machine and process to roll up material, like high expansion force material. The machine includes a roll chamber to receive the material. The roll chamber has a longitudinal central axis and a plurality of rollers located around a circumference of the roll chamber. The plurality of rollers include two roll groups of at least two rollers in each roll group. At least one of the rollers in each roll group is movable toward the longitudinal central axis independent of at least one other roller in the roll group. A material infeed gap is in the circumference of the roll chamber located between the two roll groups and spaced from the at least one of the rollers in each roll group that is movable.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 2020Date of Patent: October 17, 2023Assignee: C3 CorporationInventors: Joseph F. Publication number: 20230303889Abstract: Paper wrapping materials and method to securely wrap a rolled-up High Expansion Force product. The materials include a kraft paper layer encircling a circumference of the product with a leading end of the paper layer adhered to a tail end of the product by a first hotmelt adhesive. A tail end of the paper layer is adhered to a middle portion of the paper layer with a second hotmelt adhesive encircling the product. The paper layer has: (i) a Basis Weight from about 68 pounds per 3000 feet squared to about 84 pounds per 3000 feet squared, (ii) a Tensile Strength (MD) from about 55 pounds per inch to about 70 pounds per inch, (iii) a Stretch (MD) from about 7% to about 11%, and (iv) a fiber content of at least 70% virgin fibers. The second hotmelt adhesive is between about 15% and about 25% thermoplastic elastomer.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 23, 2021Publication date: September 28, 2023Applicant: C3 CorporationInventors: Joseph F.
