    Abstract: In a color facsimile apparatus on a transmission side, color image information is encoded and stored in accordance with a parameter which optimizes the picture quality. A parameter regarding the picture quality of the color image information which a color facsimile apparatus on a reception side has is recognized and compared with the parameter of the color facsimile apparatus on the transmission side. In accordance with the comparison result, an image conversion of the stored color image information is executed.
