  • Patent number: 6851545
Abstract: The conveyor system includes a conveyor bed mounted on a frame and an endless conveyor belt moving between upper and lower flight pads relative to the conveyor bed. A separate drive unit for the belts includes an enclosed housing having an opening therein through which the conveyor bed passes. The housing contains a belt drive mechanism including a plurality of belt pulleys engaged with the belt for receiving the conveyor belt from one of the upper and lower flight pads, applying motor power to the belt, and returning it to the other of the flight pads. • Patent number: 5052548
Abstract: A sanitary conveyor system is disclosed in which a conveyor bed, with or without curves, is mounted on a frame for movement of food trays between a plurality of work stations or movement of soiled trays from the cafeteria to the ware-washing area. A central box channel is mounted remote from the work stations and is provided juxtaposed to and below the pair of conveyor beds. The conveyor system includes a first set of pulleys being disposed adjacent to the tail end of the conveyor beds which are horizontally aligned and angled upwardly from the box channel to the conveyor beds such that each belt in the lower return flight path of the box channel are moved upwardly to the corresponding upper flight path of the conveyor bed. A second set of pulleys is disposed adjacent to the drive end of the conveyor bed and operatively connected to a belt drive unit such that belts are moved from the upper flight path of the conveyor bed to the lower return flight path of the box channel.

  • Patent number: 4086907
Abstract: A heat storage dish for use with food serving ware such as a plate or the like has upper and lower dish walls of generally complementary peripheral configuration, with the walls being secured together at their peripheries and the remainder of the walls being spaced from each other to define a cavity therebetween. A heat storage plate is positioned in the cavity between the walls, and the plate has at least one opening formed therein. The plate is held in close heat transfer relation to the upper wall by a flange support member which is secured to the upper wall and extends through the openings to a pair of outwardly extending flanges on which the plate is supported. A layer of heat insulating material extends entirely across the bottom of the plate, between the bottom of the plate and the bottom wall, to prevent heat losses from the plate through the bottom wall of the dish.
