Patents Assigned to CAIRA SURGICAL
  • Patent number: 12667427
Abstract: Systems and methods for medical object tracking. The system may include radio frequency transceivers that each transmit RF signals at initial frequencies, wherein each of the plurality of initial frequencies are different from one another. The system may further include an RF beacon that receives each RF signal at each of the initial frequencies, and emits responsive RF signals that are each frequency shifted a predetermined amount from each of the received initial frequencies. The system may also include a control device that is in communication with the RF transceivers, and the control device may determine a location of the RF beacon in a three-dimensional space based on the frequency-shifted responsive RF signals. The RF beacon may include an antenna and circuitry configured to frequency shift a received RF signal according to a predetermined amount to produce a responsive RF signal that is emitted by the antenna.

  • Patent number: 12535577
Abstract: According to one aspect of the invention, a system for medical object tracking is provided. The system includes a plurality of radio frequency transceivers where each of the plurality of radio frequency transceivers are configured to emit a radio frequency signal at a respective frequency. The system includes a radio frequency beacon removably attachable to a medical object where the radio frequency beacon configured to: reflect the radio frequency signals from the plurality of radio frequency transceivers, and emit vibration-based signals. The system includes a control device in communication with the plurality of radio frequency transceivers where the control device includes processing circuitry configured to determine a location of the medical object in three-dimensional space based at least in part on the reflected radio frequency signals and vibration-based signals.

  • Patent number: 11896319
Abstract: Systems and methods for medical object tracking are provided. The system may include a plurality of radio frequency transceivers that each emit a radio frequency signal at a first respective frequency. The system may further include a radio frequency beacon that is attachable to the medical object and that emits a second radio frequency signal at a second respective frequency different than the first respective frequency in response to receiving the radio frequency signal. The system may also include a control device in communication with the plurality of radio frequency transceivers, the control device including processing circuitry that determines a location of the medical object in three-dimensional space based at least in part on the second radio frequency signal. The beacon may include a platform, a first fixation element that extends from the platform; and a second fixation element that is tilted relative to the first fixation element.

  • Patent number: 11351007
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include surgical systems that provide a cost-effective, accurate, and efficient system for performing surgical procedures. In one aspect of the disclosure, a surgical system utilizes an intra-operative 3D scanner that can be used to determine anatomical landmarks and calculate surgical positions based on such anatomical landmarks. In some examples, aspects of the present disclosure also include providing guidance information for guiding the placement of a surgical instrument according to the calculated surgical positions.
