Abstract: Described herein is a high-capacity intermodal transport platform designed to meet the requirements for intermodal transport of very heavy weight, high density cargo by sea, road, rail and air transportation systems while minimizing the need to remove or reconfigure the cargo during multimodal and intermodal transport. The platform may be loaded with its cargo at an off-site location such a factory or a work site then easily loaded directly onto an ocean vessel deck, rail car and trailer for transport to destination. The platform may be loaded before it is placed on the transportation vehicle or may be loaded after it is placed on the transportation vehicle. Once loaded and secured to the transportation platform the cargo can be safely transported from origin to destination, and moved from one type of transportation to another, such as from truck to rail to ocean vessel with no further requirement to handle the cargo or reconfigure the way it is secured to the platform.

Abstract: Provided herein is an aquaculture platform which comprises a set of divisions, sections, channels, drainpipes and specialized climate sensors. The platform is designed to be hauled by sea, road, rail, and air transportation systems while minimizing the need to remove or reconfigure the cargo during multimodal and intermodal transport.

Abstract: Described herein is A transport platform comprising a center platform comprising two side rails connected with two or more cross beams and two end sills; and two side wing extensions reversibly attached to the center platform; wherein the side wing extensions can be detached, stacked, and secured on top of the center platform. This design facilitates the transport and storage of heavy cargo related sub-assemblies or finished components of oversized cargo.

Abstract: A side opening intermodal shipping container has a fixed base, end walls, back wall and part of a roof. A movable entire side wall is connected to a movable partial roof. The movable partial roof is hinged to the fixed roof part. Hydraulic cylinders rotate the movable side wall and roof part, opening an entire side and a portion of the top within a limited clearance space. A large object may be loaded into the container and removed from the container indoors.

Abstract: Steel coil carrying intermodal shipping containers have strong bases with I beams supporting decks and paired opposite coil supports. Each support has trusses, formed of inward supporting beams, outward sloping outer legs, links between them and short inner legs extending through the deck and anchored to longitudinal I beams. Three dimensional covers have corner posts, sides, ends, tops and open bottoms with edges that seal to edges of the deck. The covers lift from the bases for loading and unloading steel coils.

Abstract: A flatbed deck with corner castings connects to the intermodal equipment trailer chassis. Twist locks are retractable in upper corner castings to provide an absolutely flat deck to facilitate loading and unloading. Lower corner castings are connected to corner twist locks of a trailer chassis. Cargo is loaded and a rigid three-dimensional lid is lowered onto the flatbed deck. The rigid lid has corner castings that cooperate with twist locks at corners of the new flatbed deck. Lid corner castings are recessed in the lid. The lid seals to the deck to prevent moisture ingress. Corner castings extend slightly downward from the corners of the lid. Two or more short individual lids are secured separately to the new decks. Partial loads are individually covered and protected by the short lids which are seated and sealed to the deck by securing lid corner castings.

A five-sided lid is raised and locked to provide a second story. The lid is lowered and locked on a base in a down position. The lowered lid is fully enclosed so that no door is accessible and the interior of the building is secure during storage and transportation.

Abstract: A two-piece intermodal shipping container has a deck and a lid. The deck has vertical lock corner casings bottom corner castings, a frame and a floor. Tie down clips or rings are provided on side and end beams around a floor that is recessed in one embodiment. The lid has side beams and corner posts with upper and lower corner castings. Twist locks are held in the vertical lock corner casings. After loading and securing cargo on the deck, the lid is lowered over the cargo to the deck. The twist locks are turned to secure the lower corner castings on the lid with the vertical lock corner casings on the deck, completing the shipping container for placing or stacking the container on a truck, train, ship or airplane. The deck has fork lift openings in the frame. The lid has fork lift tubes or lifting rings at the top.
