    Abstract: Technologies assessing driver behavior include a vehicle telematics device configured to analyze sensor data from one or more vehicle sensors to detect whether a vehicle event has occurred and to communicate with a vehicle camera system to obtain video data associated with the detected vehicle event. The vehicle telematics device may transmit the obtained sensor data and/or video data to a remote server system. The vehicle telematics device may also receive a notification from the vehicle camera system that indicates the vehicle camera system has detected a vehicle event. In response to the notification, the vehicle telematics device may obtain sensor data form the one or more vehicle sensors and/or video data from the vehicle camera system and transmit the sensor and/or video data to the remove server system.
