  • Publication number: 20130260362
Abstract: A configurable panel display includes panel frames configurable to support respective panels, adjacent ones of the panel frames being pivotably connected along opposing edges, each panel frame having intersecting sides formed by tubular frame members, and a cap hinge assembly pivotably connecting two adjacent ones of the panel frames. Each cap hinge assembly includes two frame corner pieces, each frame corner piece interconnecting tubular frame members of two intersecting sides of a respective one of the adjacent ones of the panel frames. Each frame corner piece includes projections received within the interconnected tubular frame members, a central corner piece body from which each of the projections integrally extends, a hinge cap spanning the two frame corner pieces, and two threaded fasteners, each threaded fastener connecting the hinge cap to a respective one of the frame corner pieces.

  • Patent number: 5993287
Abstract: A children's play structure includes a frame having hinging structures capable of being arranged into a free-standing structure and at least one interchangeable panel capable of removable attachment to the frame. The frame is easily assembled and is foldable into a compact structure when not in use. In another embodiment, a children's play structure comprises a unitary piece of relatively rigid, resilient plastic that has been scored in a generally vertical direction to create joints which form foldable frame sections. Interchangeable panels may be attached thereto by means of complementary pairs of hook and loop fasteners attached to the panels and to the frame sections. Alternatively, panels may be removably attached thereto by means of closed loop fasteners such as "O" rings. Such structures are stackable to form a multi-level play structure.

  • Patent number: 5881789
Abstract: A children's play structure includes a frame having hinge structures that enable the structure to be arranged into a free-standing structure having a variety of adjustable positions. Interchangeable panels can be provided for removable attachment to the structure. At least one of the panels may include an article mounting sheet configured to receive articles such as drawings, photographs, and the like in one or more transparent pockets. The frame is easily assembled and is foldable into a compact structure when not in use. A hinge mount structure having two mounting posts facilitates assembly, disassembly, folding, and adjustable positioning, and affords structural stability to the free-standing play structure. In particular, such a hinge structure allows adjoining frames to be mounted at the same level and to be freely pivoted independently of one another. Further, a coupling structure enables portions of the play structure to be divided into segments that can be attached upon assembly.

  • Patent number: 5352149
Abstract: A children's play structure includes a frame having hinging sections capable of being arranged into a free-standing structure and interchangeable panels capable of removable attachment to the frame to provide multiple scenes on the plurality of hinging sections of the frame. The hinging sections of the frame comprise elongated beams or pipes joined at their opposite ends to form an open rectangular frame pivotally joined to adjacent hinging sections. In a first embodiment, the panels are provided by a piece of canvas folded over on itself and stitched together at opposite ends to form a sock which is dropped onto the frame. The canvas is easily replaced by another canvas having different scenes or murals to change the theme or environment of the play structure.
