Publication number: 20230371800Abstract: The present disclosure relates to medical devices. More particularly, this disclosure describes a hysteroscope having a multi-lumened elongated distal outer tube extending from a proximate body to a distal portion. The hysteroscope may allocate space for an optical, luminescence, irrigation and working lumens that substantially extend through the outer tube. These lumens, or channels, as provided in this disclosure will be defined in different cross-sections of the distal outer tube maximizing the area therein. In an illustrative example, an ellipse-shaped lumen surrounded by a circular outer tube defines one such cross-section and may include the optical and working lumens with light fibers positioned between the lumens all within the ellipse-shaped lumen. Exterior to the ellipse-shaped lumen may be a first and second irrigation lumen.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 7, 2023Publication date: November 23, 2023Applicant: Caldera Medical, Inc.Inventors: Jose Luis Charvet, Vishtasb Farkhondeh

Publication number: 20230000605Abstract: A sling assembly for treatment of stress urinary incontinence may comprise a midline marker, a sling, and a sleeve. The midline marker identifies the midpoint of the protective sleeve when it is installed on a transparent surface of the sleeve. The protective sleeve comprises a clear transparent surface and a colored opaque surface. During a procedure, the colored opaque surface of the sleeve provides contrast between the surfaces of the sleeve to identify any twisting present throughout the length of the sleeve. The clear transparent surface of the sleeve forms a channel at the center of the midline marker when the transparent surface of the sleeve is wrapped over the body of the midline marker. The channel is large enough for a surgical instrument to be inserted and cut the transparent surface to separate the sleeve from the midline marker after installation of the sling at a desired location.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2022Publication date: January 5, 2023Applicant: Caldera Medical, Inc.Inventors: Jeffrey Wells, Vishtasb Farkhondeh, Sandra Muhlfeld

Publication number: 20210007836Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided to position a device at adjacent tissues near a urethra to overcome the problem of urine leakage during physical movement or activity by changing a contour of a urethra. The devices may include mechanisms such as an inflatable pouch or a pillow anchored to the adjacent tissues of a urethra by an anchoring hook. The inflation of the pouch by an external fluid flexes the pouch towards a urethra and changes the contour of the urethra. The devices may also or alternatively include one or more tissue grasping T-fasteners having forward-facing and reverse-facing barbs to anchor the tissues adjacent to a urethra and bend the contour of the urethra. The device may also include actuators, clips or spring jacks having inflatable bands. The device may include a cap, one-way valves and a combination of a plug and cap to block urethral ostium to temporarily block urine flow from a bladder.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 6, 2020Publication date: January 14, 2021Applicant: Caldera Medical, Inc.Inventor: Ronald D. Publication number: 20200268404Abstract: A drive system for a tissue resection device that drives a cutting tube in a rotating and reciprocating motion simultaneously. The cutting tube moves within an outer tube having a window at a distal end thereof. When activation of the device ceases, the device remains powered until the cutting tube assumes an extended position, thereby closing the window.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 24, 2020Publication date: August 27, 2020Applicant: Caldera Medical, Inc.Inventors: Mike Collinson, Manish Vaishya, Jose Luis Charvet

Publication number: 20200258426Abstract: A synthetic model of a uterine cavity having deflated and inflated configuration that simulate the normally flat configuration of a human uterus. Pathologies may be provided within the model and an access for an instrument, such as a hysteroscope, is provided such that, in the deflated configuration, a view or access to the pathology is at least partially obstructed by the cavity walls, requiring a user of the model to inflate the cavity to the inflated configuration.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 7, 2020Publication date: August 13, 2020Applicant: Caldera Medical, Inc.Inventor: Jose Luis Charvet
