Patent number: 7597478Abstract: A soft sided insulated cooler bag has a base and side panels. The base includes a rigid or semi-rigid reinforcement or batten that serve to provide a relatively hard or stiff edge about which the bag can be panel folded over on itself. The upper edge of the bag has a length that is as great as half the periphery of the bottom panel. The bag can be collapsed to a flat position and then panel folded to a storage position. Retainers are provided to keep the bag in the storage position. The bag has lifting apparatus, which may be strap. The straps may be anchored to the bag at a plurality of anchor points, some of which may be sliding keepers, such that the handle can be moved to a first position in which the bag may be held in a predominantly up-and-down orientation, and to a second position in which the bag may be held in a predominantly flat or horizontal position.Type: GrantFiled: May 25, 2006Date of Patent: October 6, 2009Assignee: California Innovations Inc.Inventors: Renia Pruchnicki, Melvin S. Patent number: 7162890Abstract: A soft sided insulated container assembly includes a first portion having an insulated, soft sided external wall structure, and an internal, substantially rigid molded plastic receptacle mounted therein. It has a cover structure that includes a reinforcement member for engaging a land region of the molded receptacle, thereby tending to yield an interface tending to have a sealing relationship. The container may also include a thermal storage element, and the container may have an accommodation for receiving the thermal storage element.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2003Date of Patent: January 16, 2007Assignee: California Innovations Inc.Inventors: Melvin S. Patent number: 6821019Abstract: A portable soft sided insulated container has an impermeable liner that provides a liquid holding barrier. The liner is folded from a single monolithic plastic sheet to reduce or eliminate the need for heat welded seams. The liner seats within the container and has a releasable attachment around its lip for mating with the rim of the container. The container has an insulated lid so that the entire assembly may be closed. The liner can be removed for cleaning, or replacement if punctured. When not in use the entire assembly can be folded into a collapsed position for storage. The container has two storage chambers that share a common insulated dividing wall.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2001Date of Patent: November 23, 2004Assignee: California Innovations Inc.Inventor: Melvin S. Mogil

Patent number: 6513661Abstract: An insulated pack has a main, insulated compartment suitable for holding refreshments at either a warmed or chilled temperature. It also has another compartment for valuables that has receptacles for such objects as cellular telephone handsets, wallets, and keys. It has a reinforced web framework structure, and a carrying handle mounted on the lid. Use of two of these packs, allows a user to keep different objects at different temperatures. The pack is particularly useful for attachment to a golf bag or golf cart to provide cool drinks during a round of golf.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2001Date of Patent: February 4, 2003Assignee: California Innovations Inc.Inventor: Melvin S. Patent number: 6481239Abstract: An insulated container has a container wall, and a space to be warmed or cooled defined within the container wall. The container has an opening in the wall and a receptacle positioned so that objects introduced through the opening can seat in the receptacle and extend outwardly through the opening so that part of the object, such as a canned or bottled drink, seats within the receptacle, and part extends outwardly of the container so that a user can reach it. Either or both of the receptacle and the container can be collapsible.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2001Date of Patent: November 19, 2002Assignee: California Innovations, Inc.Inventors: Marc A.
