  • Patent number: 7175887
Abstract: A first member is configured to undergo sliding contact with a surface of a second member. The surface of the first member is roughened by irradiating the surface of the first member with a laser to form first recesses in the surface of the first member. The surface of the first member is then cleaned followed by a finely roughening step of irradiating the first recesses formed in the surface of the first member with a plasma to form second recesses which are shallower than the first recesses. Thereafter, a fluorocarbon resin is coated on the surface of the first member so that the fluorocarbon resin securely contacts and adheres to the surface of the first member due to the rough and clean state thereof. The surface of the first member is then subjected to a heat treatment.

  • Patent number: 7142930
Abstract: A disturbance estimated-type control system has a control object based on a mathematical model having of one of a state equation and a transfer function and prepared by system identification technology. A disturbance estimating device is based on an expansion system based on the mathematical model for estimating a disturbance of the control object in accordance with an input signal inputted into the control object and a detection signal detected from the control object. A compensating device is based on the mathematical model for compensating for a deviation between the detection signal and a target value and for outputting a corresponding control signal. A subtractor subtracts the control signal of the compensating device from a disturbance estimated value of the disturbance estimating device.

  • Patent number: 7077633
Abstract: A horizontal-type electric motor driven compressor comprises a casing, a suction chamber formed in the casing, an electric motor arranged on a suction chamber side in the casing, a compressor section driven by the motor in the casing about a horizontal axis of rotation extending in a longitudinal direction of the casing, a suction opening provided in the compressor section, and a refrigerant passage having an inlet communicating with the suction opening and communicating the suction chamber to the suction opening. The refrigerant passage is the sole refrigerant passage between the suction chamber and the suction opening. The inlet of the refrigerant passage is provided in a lowermost portion at a bottom of the casing.

  • Patent number: 6935854
Abstract: A gas compressor has a cylinder in which a refrigerant gas is compressed and a side block mounted to an end surface of the cylinder. The side block has suction holes each having a first end opening to an outer surface of the side block and a second end opening into the cylinder. A front head has a suction port, an inner surface, and a hollow portion disposed in the inner surface. The front head is disposed on an outer surface of the side block so that the hollow portion and the outer surface of the side block form suction passages extending from the suction port to respective suction holes of the side block. Each of the suction passages form a main flow passage along which refrigerant gas flows from the suction port to a corresponding one of the suction holes of the side block. The hollow portion has a generally flat wall surface at a region corresponding to each of the main flow passages.

  • Patent number: 6929457
Abstract: A rotary vane gas compressor has a cylinder, a rotor in the cylinder, and vanes slidably disposed in radial vane grooves in the rotor to define compression chambers for intaking, compressing and discharging compressed gas during rotation of the rotor. A flat groove communicates with bottom portions of the vane grooves during intaking and compression of the gas in the compression chambers, and a high pressure supplying hole communicates with the bottom portions of the vane grooves during end stage compression of the gas at times when the bottom portions of the vane grooves are not in communication with the flat groove. A communication passage establishes communication between the flat groove and the high pressure supplying hole at the start of operation of the gas compressor to supply high pressure gas to the vane groove bottom portions during start-up to quickly urge the vanes into contact with the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 6824370
Abstract: Disclosed is a gas compressor capable of preventing generation of noise due to the vibration during the rotation of the rotor. A rotor rotating in a cylinder around a rotation shaft has five radially extending vane grooves, each of which supports a vane. The respective directions of the vane grooves are determined such that the respective angular differences between at least three adjacent compression chambers are not less than 5 degrees. Thus, the angular intervals in terms of direction between the vanes supported by the vane grooves are also different from each other. As a result, the timing with which the vanes pass the outlet port is irregular, and the discharge period is thus unequal between a plurality of compression chambers, whereby the periodicity of the vibration based thereon is reduced, and the peak values of the basic vibration component are reduced.
