  • Patent number: 9784794
Abstract: A parameter estimation device using a filter includes a preprocessing computing circuit, a state estimating circuit and a state-of-charge estimating circuit. A low-pass filter of the preprocessing computing circuit transfers the voltage preprocessing value and the current preprocessing value from inputted discharge-and-charge current value and terminal voltage value, respectively. The state estimating circuit estimates parameters of a state equation of a battery equivalent model based on the battery equivalent model containing a resistance and a capacitor from the voltage preprocessing value and the current preprocessing value inputted. The state-of-charge estimating circuit estimates the state of charge from state quantity obtained. The time constant varies in such a way that the higher the temperature and the state of charge becomes the smaller the time constant becomes.

  • Patent number: 9780714
Abstract: A motor control device of the present invention supplies a detection current to a motor at predetermined time intervals, detects a voltage between the both ends of a smoothing capacitor when the detection current is supplied, and determines whether a connector is inserted or unplugged based on a change in the voltage between the both ends of the smoothing capacitor. Furthermore, if determining that the connector is unplugged, the motor control device decreases the voltage between the both ends of the smoothing capacitor to or below a defined value by discharging the smoothing capacitor.

  • Publication number: 20170214313
Abstract: A drive circuit for a semiconductor switching element includes an overcurrent protection circuit, a short-circuit protection circuit, and a determination time changing circuit. The overcurrent protection circuit judges that a principal current become an overcurrent when a sense voltage proportional to magnitude of the principal current excesses over a first threshold value, and then reduces the principal current. The short-circuit protection circuit reduces a gate voltage of the semiconductor switching element more quickly than the reduction of the principal current by the overcurrent protection circuit when the principal current becomes a greater overcurrent. The determination time changing circuit makes a determination time needed for determining whether or not to operate the overcurrent protection circuit longer when the magnitude of the principal current gets smaller based on a comparison result between the judgement result of the overcurrent protection circuit and a second threshold value.
