Abstract: A closure lever on the rear of a ski boot is engaged with a cable which passes beneath side lugs near the elevation of the sole of the boot and forwardly of the heel. The cable ends carry connectors which engage through apertures formed in the ends of a tension strap which passes transversely over the instep. In an alternative arrangement, the cable may be crossed beneath the sole of the boot and engaged within crossing grooves in the sole.

Abstract: In the lacing device for ski boots the lacing members (either one or both of them) are mounted on a U-shaped carrier plate the legs of which slidably engage side grooves provided on an anchoring guide element on the ski boot. On the same carrier plate there is hingedly mounted a clamping element which in its operative position clamps the said legs inserted in the grooves in such a manner as to avoid the possibility that they be stretched apart, or divaricated, thus accidentally coming out of the grooves of the anchoring guide element. The clamping element is constructed as a clamping plate presenting, in correspondence of its sides, downwardly bent edge portions which, when the lacing device is mounted on the ski boot, come to be arranged side by side against the outer sides of the legs of the carrier plate.

Abstract: Fastening loops are attached directly to a vamp side or to leg strap extensions for engagement with fastening levers on the opposite side of the vamp. The interior surface of the vamp or of each strap extension is recessed to form flush engaging elements, any one of which can be connected with the inward end of a fastening loop so that the latter is adjustably held on the vamp or on a strap extension. No uncomfortable projections are created on the interior surface of the vamp or strap extensions and the outer surface is smooth for improved appearance and/or to accept visible indicia.

Abstract: A connector for a removable ski boot fastening loop embodies an engagement element for the loop on one side of the boot vamp and provided at its base with a guide and retaining groove into which the loop is removably inserted by forceable snapping.

Abstract: An outer rigid ski boot has padding in the form of a soft inshoe therein. The soft inshoe has a surface comprised of a plurality of spaced projections having their tips in contact with the outer rigid upper and/or the skier's foot. The degree of softness of the inshoe is varied by varying the spacing distribution of the projections in the total contact area of the projections with the outer rigid upper and/or the skier's foot.

Abstract: A lacing device for ski boots of the kind comprising a hooked lever like member cooperating with a ring like member, the said lacing members being secured to the ski boot upper, at both sides of the longitudinal opening formed in the ski boot upper. To this end, the said lacing members are each fastened to a base plate which may be assembled in an easily dismountable manner with a sliding fit on a slide guide formed on the ski boot upper. Abutment means are provided for limiting the movement of the said base plate with respect to the cooperating slide guide.
