Abstract: A food carrier having inner and outer walls with insulation therebetween and ledges on the interior walls for receipt of a heated food container. A heating unit is provided which is adapted for placement on the ledges in the same manner as the food containers. The heating unit can be provided with a heating element that can be heated inductively, in an oven, or by other suitable heating. The heating element can be formed of a solid to solid phase change material or a solid to liquid phase change material or other heat retentive compositions or compounds.
Abstract: A thermoelectric food service container having a doubled walled plastic molded container with foam disposed between the walls, and a door for access to container. A thermoelectric unit is connected to the container through access openings, and has P and N type semi-conductors connected for the flow of current between them from a power supply. Controls control the flow of current to the P and N type semi-conductors and a fan circulates air within the container over food containers in spaced relationship on support racks within the container.
Abstract: A removable cover for a food pan which seats on upright side walls of the food pan and has an opening with a hinged lid mounted interiorly of the periphery of the cover for access to the pan. A peripheral flange on the cover seats over and downwardly on the edge of the pan with the cover having an upwardly extending flange surrounding at least in part the opening of the cover. A downwardly extending flange surrounds at least in part the periphery of the hinged lid for seating over the flange cover. A hinge stop on the cover stops the hinged lid when opened. A notch in the hinged lid provides placement of a serving utensil therein.
Abstract: A portable sink having a sink module and a hot and cold water outlet connected to a spigot and a used water outlet from said sink connected to a cabinet mounted on wheels having at least one door to access the interior thereof. At least one tank for fresh water and a reservoir for used water is mounted in the cabinet. An electrical connection for powering a pump and a heater connected to the outlet of the pump has an outlet connected to the hot water outlet and a connection from the pump to the cold water outlet. A hammer arrester diminishes line surges and fluidic pounding from the pump, and a flow check valve prevents back flow to the fresh water tank.
Abstract: A food and beverage container having a lid and a base portion with four upright walls and a bottom. The lid seats on the base portion, and is secured by a pivoting latch handle with a hook portion hinged to the handle. The hook portion has a width where it contacts the lid equal to or greater than its length. The base portion and lid are sealed by an elongated elastomeric member seated in a groove of the lid.
Abstract: A dish rack having a base portion with a substantially single side walled structure and an extender for seating on the base portion having a substantially single walled structure along its sides. The extender for seating on the base portion has prongs extending from the lower region formed as a pair of tines terminating in a barb. Sockets are formed within the base portion having socket walls with a notch therein for receiving the prongs. The prongs are flexible and formed on the lower portions of the extenders and are adapted to index and interface with the sockets. The prongs with the barbed ends seat in sockets having a sloped portion for forming the notch for receiving the barbs of the prongs.
