Abstract: A descender is for work at height, climbing, mountaineering, speleology or other practices using a rope. The descender device for a textile rope (F) includes a casing in which a cam mechanism (10) and an actuating lever (3) for the cam mechanism (10) are housed. The casing (2) includes a return element (13) for the rope (F). The cam mechanism (10) includes a lever pin (29) rotatably actuated by the actuation lever (3) and a movable cam (25) which is rotatably movable between a deactivation position and a locked position in which the movable cam (25) presses on the rope (F) against the return element (13). The lever pin (29) acts on a rocker member (32) which is integral with the movable cam (25) during a first rotation step of the lever pin (29) in a direction opposite to the activation direction of the movable cam (25).

Abstract: Carabiners having locking systems of the type called “key-lock” for mountaineering and climbing are provided. Such carabiners include those having a ring with a side, interrupted by an opening delimited by a first and a second end, wherein said opening is closed by a spring closing element which can take an open position and a closed position, wherein the first end of the ring comprises a bulb-shaped hooking portion, with the projecting part in a direction transverse to the plane of the carabiner, wherein the coupling portion on both sides of the bulb includes a shoulder having an uneven surface.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a carabiner, particularly a wire carabiner, for mountaineering and climbing comprising a ring having a side, which is interrupted by an opening defined by a first and a second end, wherein said opening is closed by a spring closing member that may take an open position and a closed position, wherein the first end of the ring comprises a bulb-shaped coupling portion, with the part projecting in the transversal direction with respect to the plane of the carabiner, and wherein the closing member is of the so-called “wire lever” type and comprises a lever member consisting of a metal wire, wherein said lever member is associated with a coupling member with the coupling portion of the ring, said coupling member comprising a seat, having such shape and dimensions as to couple with said coupling portion, and a constraint portion to the lever member.

Abstract: A self-locking device for a mountaineer or a speleologist climbing up a rope is provided herein. The device includes a main body having an inner face with a sliding seat for the rope. The sliding seat is partially defined by a part of the body of the device folded upon itself and partially defined at a bottom and laterally by the inner face of the body of the device. The device includes a cam member associated with the body and able to tilt around an axis X from an open position to a position holding the rope. The self-locking device also includes one or more pulleys associated with the body. The one or more pulleys are arranged so that a longitudinal axis Z lies on a plane parallel to a plane a of major extension of the body and perpendicular to a sliding direction of the rope.

Abstract: Safety devices for sports and mountaineering activities are provided. In particular, such devices include a body that has a first and a second plate, both fixed, substantially parallel to one another and connected together at one end through a lever member hinged to both of the plates by a pin, so that, when assembled, said plates define space (a) in which a path for the rope is provided. The lever member can rotate around axis (b) between a release position and a holding position. The lever member also may include a fixed pulley, arranged on a portion of the lever member away from axis (b) so that a rope can slide along the fixed pulley about an axis offset with respect to axis (b) of the lever member. The devices also may include an anti-panic mechanism.

Such snap hooks may include a ring which has a straight side, interrupted by an opening defined by first and second ends, in which the opening is closed by a spring closing element which has an open position and a closed position, the snap hook having a separation lever dividing the space enclosed by the ring in two separate areas wherein the lever is independent from the closing element, and wherein the closing element and the separating lever are hinged to the same hinge.

Abstract: A self-locking device for a mountaineer or a spelaeologist climbing up a rope is provided herein. The device includes a main body with a sliding seat for the rope. The device also includes a cam member associated with said body and able to tilt around an axis X from an open position to a position holding said rope. Further, the device includes a means for containing said rope inside said seat, in that said containment means comprise one or more pulleys associated with said body, which define to the top at least partially said sliding seat of the rope.
