Abstract: There is provided a modular observatory including an annular wall assembly and a roof assembly selectively engageable with the wall assembly. The assemblies include a plurality of interengageable panels. The panels of the wall assembly are generally curved and rectangular. A set of the panels of the roof assembly are generally curved and rectangular in shape. Selective ones of the panels of the roof assembly are removeable to form an elongate opening in the top thereof. There is further provided an unassembled modular observatory kit comprising a plurality of interengageable wall panels, each of which is similar in size and curved and rectangular in profile. The kit includes a plurality of interengageable roof panels, a first set of which are similar in size and curved and rectangular in profile and a second set of which are similar in size and curved and triangular in profile.
