Abstract: A field-effect transistor including an electrically conductive substrate; a first insulating film coating the electrically conductive substrate; a gate electrode disposed on the electrically conductive substrate with the first insulating film interposed therebetween; a source electrode; a drain electrode opposing the source electrode with the channel therebetween; a second insulating film covering the gate electrode; and a semiconductor layer having a width larger than a width of the gate electrode in the channel width direction and being partly provided on the gate electrode with the second insulating film interposed therebetween so that the gate electrode, the second insulating film, and the semiconductor layer are laminated in the channel.
Abstract: A position control system uses a speed command supplied to a driving source. The speed command has a change pattern which has an acceleration section (1) for eliminating a dead zone of a power transmission mechanism, a constant-speed section (or an acceleration section with a slower acceleration than in the section (1)), an acceleration section (3) up to the maximum speed, a constant-speed section (4), a deceleration section (5), a constant-speed section (6) for eliminating the dead zone (or a deceleration section with a slower deceleration than in the section (5)), and a deceleration (7) for stopping at a target section. Even when a driven member has large inertia, the position thereof is accurately controlled to the target position in a semi-closed position control system.
Abstract: A distance measuring device is capable, even utilizing the Lamb wave with velocity fluctuating from device to device, of easily setting an approximate wave velocity and of effecting precise distance calculation even with such approximate wave velocity. There is employed a system of measuring the thickness d of the wave transmitting plate, then determining the group velocity Vg of the Lamb wave from the measured thickness, then determining the phase velocity Vp of the Lamb wave from the plate thickness d and the frequency f of the Lamb wave, and deriving the distance from Vg, Vp and the arrival delay time of the Lamb wave.
Abstract: A device for successive reproduction of original image information to be used in a recording apparatus of a type, wherein the device includes a reciprocating table for carrying an original. The device is generally constructed with a movable table which reciprocates over the original carrying table, and on which information to be changed and selected is placed. A mechanism sequentially and automatically shifts the movable table by a driving force of the reciprocating motion of the original carrying table and thereby selectively changes the information; the shifting and changing mechanism is constructed with a plurality of mutually engaged links, wherein one of the plurality of links is displaced by the reciprocating motion of the original carrying table so as to move the movable table, and, by making variable the engaging length of at least one of the mutually engaged links, the moving distance of the movable table is made variable.
