  • Patent number: 7613350
Abstract: The invention generates moving image information obtained by compositing a moving image of a user and objects selected by the user, and provides the generated moving image information to the user. For instance, when the user has inserted a coin or coins into a device, a select menu of pre-stored stories is displayed, and the user selects one story from the menu. Then, the user selects a desired background scene and feature player in that story to determine pre-stored objects. After that, an image of the user is sensed, and is stored as a moving image object. The moving image object is then composited with the previously selected objects according to MPEG 4 to generate single stream information. The generated moving image information is then delivered to the user.

  • Publication number: 20040030994
Abstract: A spatial marker specified in extensible mark-up language (XML) for use in connection with an XML-based synchronized multimedia presentation. The spatial marker specifies a visual cue for a multimedia element in the presentation, together with the visual appearance of the cue and spatial and temporal characteristics of the cue. The spatial and temporal characteristics of the cue synchronize the cue with the multimedia presentation. In operation, and upon encountering such a spatial marker, an XML-based multimedia browser displaying the multimedia presentation to a user would display the visual cue using the specified visual appearance, and in the spatial and temporal relationships with the multimedia element as specified by the spatial and temporal characteristics of the marker.

  • Patent number: 6359649
Abstract: In a video camera integrated with a still camera in which the still camera and the video camera are integrated into one camera body, while photography is not being performed by the video camera, an image immediately preceding an image to be recorded by the still camera and an image immediately following the image recorded by the still camera can be displayed on a monitor of the video camera. While photography is being performed by the video camera, the display of images before and after the execution of photography by the still camera is inhibited. When the camera is equipped with a flash device and still camera recording is accompanied by a flash emission, control is effected such that image information is stored for one field which is recorded by the video camera and which does not include image information for one field which does not contain an emission of the flash device is displayed.

  • Patent number: 5930528
Abstract: An image processing system is capable of displaying, storing and printing an image from either of two video inputs. When one video input is selected, a real-time video image of a subject is displayed on a monitor. When a shutter-button is pushed, a still-frame image of the subject is displayed on the monitor and stored in a memory. A print out of the stored image can be requested following confirmation of the quality and desirability of the stored image.

  • Patent number: 5742299
Abstract: There is provided an information processing apparatus having a detachable first ROM cartridge in which a control program and other information are stored; an instructing device to instruct whether the control program stored in the ROM cartridge is to be executed or not when the ROM cartridge is attached; a control circuit to control operation in response to an instruction of the instructing device; a second ROM cartridge which is provided in the apparatus and in which a control program is stored; and a detector to detect whether the first ROM cartridge is attached or not. When the instructing device instructs not to execute the control program stored in the first ROM cartridge, the control circuit allows the control program stored in the second ROM cartridge to be executed. With this apparatus, when the detachable ROM cartridge is attached, the information other than the control program can be read out of this ROM cartridge and can be used for various processes.
