Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes: a first camera communication control unit configured to transmit, from the imaging apparatus to the accessory device, a control command for controlling operations of the accessory device, via a first communication channel provided between the imaging apparatus and the accessory device, and receive data transmitted from the accessory device in response to the control command; and a second camera communication control unit configured to receive optical data of the accessory device transmitted from the accessory device, via a second communication channel provided between the imaging apparatus and the accessory device separate from the first communication channel.
