  • Patent number: 10116818
Abstract: An information processing apparatus that is capable of displaying icons that are arranged properly without causing user's time and effort. A display unit displays icons for selecting a function from among mounted functions. A memory device stores a set of instructions. At least one processor executes the instructions to display various icons including a plurality of icons corresponding to a plurality of functions that are extended by installing at least one application in a display area of the display unit, and to collect the plurality of icons corresponding to the plurality of functions extended into a predetermined icon in a case where the number of icons displayed in the display area exceeds a display upper limit.

  • Patent number: 9908736
Abstract: A sheet processing apparatus in which a sheet bundle including a plurality of sheets discharged onto an intermediate processing tray is received in a receiving portion of a stapler and bound with use of a staple, and a sheet bundle including a plurality of sheets discharged onto the intermediate processing tray is received in a receiving portion of a staple-less binding unit having a gap in the thickness direction of the sheets smaller than that of the receiving portion of the stapler and bound without using a staple, wherein when the stapler performs the binding process, the staple-less binding unit is arranged in a position shifted in a width direction orthogonal to a sheet discharge direction from a region on the intermediate processing tray, through which the sheets discharged by a sheet discharging portion pass.

  • Publication number: 20130292557
Abstract: The encoder includes a scale provided with first and second tracks, a sensor relatively movable with the scale and reading periodic patterns to output periodic signals, and a processor calculating a position in a relative movement direction of the scale and sensor by using the periodic signals. The first track includes first and second periodic patterns whose periods are mutually different, and the second track includes a third periodic pattern whose period is different from that of the second pattern and is an integral multiple or an integral fraction of that of the first periodic pattern. The processor calculates, by using a phase difference between the periodic signals corresponding to the first and third periodic patterns, the position in which a sensor reading error due to a relative displacement between the first and second tracks and the sensor is corrected.

  • Publication number: 20120181590
Abstract: A solid-state image pickup apparatus with little or no difference in the dark currents between adjacent photoelectric conversion elements, and that provides a high sensitivity and a low dark current even in a high-speed readout operation, includes a well formed on a wafer, and semiconductor layers formed in the well to constitute photodiodes. A well contact is formed between the semiconductor layers. Element isolation regions are provided between the well contact and the semiconductor layers, and channel stop layers are provided under the element isolation regions. A conductive layer is provided on the element isolation region, and a side wall is provided on a side face of the conductive layer. A distance a between an end of the element isolation region and the conductive layer, a width b of the side wall and a device isolation width c satisfy a relation c>a?b.

  • Publication number: 20080199211
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, an apparatus body, a door, a sheet conveyance unit, and a positioning device. The image forming unit forms an image on a sheet. The image forming unit is disposed in the apparatus body. The door is provided in the apparatus body so as to be openable and closable. The sheet conveyance unit conveys the sheet to the image forming unit. The sheet conveyance unit is provided in the door. The positioning device positions the door in relation to the apparatus body in the vertical direction and the horizontal direction. The positioning device performs positioning of the door in the vicinity of the image forming unit.
