  • Publication number: 20200346455
Abstract: A method of bonding printed circuit sheets to one another, each of the printed circuit sheets having a pattern of electrically conductive tracks, and the bonding being carried out by applying an adhesive to one of the sheets in a connection zone where the tracks on the one sheet are to be connected to corresponding tracks on the other sheet, superposing the sheets in the connection zone such that the adhesive is sandwiched between the sheets, and aligning the sheets such that corresponding tracks on the two sheets are aligned with one another. The method includes a preparatory step of forming extra tracks on the two sheets such that, in the alignment and compression steps, the extra tracks are brought into engagement with one another and constitute a barrier for the adhesive.

  • Publication number: 20200316966
Abstract: A method for controlling an inkjet printer is provided. The printer comprises a reciprocating print head that applies a curable ink on a substrate in an at least two-pass print process. A print mask is applied to determine which dot positions are addressed in a pass of the print head. The ink is positionally fixed in a fixing step directly after application and cured in a curing step on a part of the substrate where the application of ink is completed. The level of fixing is adjustable and an amount of clustering of pixels in the print mask related to a print mode, associated with the level of fixing, is varied in dependence on the level of fixing.

  • Publication number: 20200290364
Abstract: An ink supply system for a print bar of an inkjet printing device comprises two supply lines that travel along the longitudinal axis of the print bar and direct ink with opposite flow direction. The print heads of the print bar are respectively connected to both supply lines via a connecting line in order to supply ink to said print heads. A uniform mean hydraulic pressure is produced in all print heads via the opposite flow directions in the two supply lines.

  • Publication number: 20200282758
Abstract: Thermal energy is supplied to a fluid mixture on a substrate that has a first component, for example water, and a second component, for example cosolvent, such that the proportion of the second component in the fluid mixture is increased at relatively high temperatures of the fluid mixture. It may thus be reliably produced that an optimally small quantity of the second component is located on the surface of the substrate following the drying process.

  • Publication number: 20200282420
Abstract: A fluid for application onto a substrate is provided in a cavity of a hollow cylindrical application roller that has porous roller wall. Before reaching the transfer point to the substrate, fluid is regionally selectively pushed back away from the outer shell surface of the application roller, into the porous roller wall, by a knockback pressure, in order to regionally selectively produce the effect that, at the transfer point, fluid is located at the outer shell surface of the application roller or no fluid is located at the outer shell surface of the application roller. A regionally selective application of fluid onto a substrate may thus be efficiently produced.

  • Patent number: 10766249
Abstract: The negative pressure in the ink chamber of a nozzle of a print head is reduced in a printing interruption phase, in particular upon transport of the print head from a cleaning position into a printing position, relative to the negative pressure in a printing phase. The leaking of ink during the printing interruption phase may thus be reliably avoided, and the print quality may be increased.

  • Publication number: 20200269565
Abstract: In an inkjet printing system, an actuator that is associated with a nozzle of a printing element is controlled in a normal operating mode, given a non-defective nozzle, to implement at least one standard refresh measure if the time period in which the actuator is not activated to output an ink droplet exceeds a preset limit value. • Patent number: 10754591
Abstract: A document processing system includes a print controller and a user interface for displaying production routes for a print job leading to an end product due to printing by at least one printer and finishing by at least one finisher. The user interface is configured to receive a user selection of a document type of the print job and at least one selection criterion for the print job. The print controller is configured to determine production routes based on simulation of the print job by device models for the at least one printer and the at least one finisher, and to select from the determined production routes a production route with smart settings which corresponds to the document type and fulfills the selection criterion.

  • Patent number: 10752458
Abstract: A media roll holder assembly a web-based printing system comprises a support for rotatably supporting the roll in an operative position, a holding element for rotatably holding the roll on the support, and a pivotable arm on which the holding element is provided. The pivotable arm is formed and positioned to position the holding element on the roll, such that a lifting force for lifting the roll from the support results in a holding force on the holding element in the first angular direction for holding the roll in the operative position on the support. The roll is then rotatably secured in its operative without excess angular forces acting on the roll. As the rotation of the roll is substantially unimpeded, the medium may be transported with great precision, resulting in high quality printing.

  • Publication number: 20200238714
Abstract: A device for supplying a print bar (10) with ink has a distributor tank (16) that is connected with all print heads (12). Degassed and tempered ink is supplied to the distributor tank (16). In the distributor tank (16), a ring line (36) extends through which flows ink at the nominal temperature, and the ink (19) in the distributor tank (16) is thereby tempered. In addition to this, the distributor tank (16) has a supply line (38) via which fresh ink may be fed into the distributor tank (16). A changeover switch (42) switches between the two lines depending on the negative pressure in the distributor tank (16).

  • Publication number: 20200242432
Abstract: A test image having a plurality of line rows is printed. The individual lines of the line rows are printed by different nozzles of a print head. The lines are thereby associated with the different line rows such that the lines of two directly adjacent line rows are not printed by all respective nozzles from two nozzle rows of the print head that are connected with one another via a common ink supply channel. Crosstalk between the nozzle rows, and print image artifacts of the test image that are linked therewith, may thus be advantageously avoided.

  • Publication number: 20200174717
Abstract: A method of editing a print document includes an impositioning step for determining positions of print objects in a document to be printed, the positions being determined in view of a later step of finishing the document after printing. The method includes providing document data on a client computer; sending document data to a cloud computer and requesting the cloud computer to perform the impositioning step; and sending the impositioned document data to a printer for printing the document.
