Abstract: A backrest assembly for an exercise bench includes a mounting bar, a first carriage member, a headrest, and a backrest. The first carriage member is configured for slidable insertion within a hollow cavity in the mounting bar. A back surface of the headrest is coupled to the first carriage member. The backrest segment is configured for upward and downward movement along the mounting bar. In one embodiment, the backrest assembly has at least two segments, such as an adjustable first backrest segment, and an adjustable second backrest segment.
Abstract: A multifunctional and compact exercise apparatus includes an exercise bench with an integrated weight storage unit. The weight storage unit can be configured to store one or more weights in a vertical orientation. The weight storage unit can include a bracket member. The bracket member can include a mounting sidewall and a storage sidewall. The storage sidewall can extend outward substantially or generally perpendicularly from the mounting sidewall. The storage sidewall can include a planar plate-like member having a plurality of cut-outs or slots formed therein. Each slot can be dimensioned to receive a weight in a vertical orientation.
Abstract: An adjustable exercise bench includes a vertical mounting bar with a plurality of pre-drilled holes and a backrest mounted to the mounting bar. The backrest can be moved upward or downward. In one embodiment, the backrest is bifurcated and has an adjustable head pad and an adjustable back pad. The head pad and back pad are configured for slidable upward and downward movement along the mounting bar. A lower surface of the head pad and an upper surface of the back pad are sized and shaped for a substantially close sliding reception with each other.
Abstract: An adjustable weight dumbbell device includes a nesting tray and a plurality of weight plates with a radial recess and positioned parallel to each other on the nesting tray. A handle with a grip is provided, wherein rotating the grip in a first direction to one of a plurality of predefined positions, after the handle has been inserted through the aligned radial recesses of the weight plates to rest on the nesting tray, results in a set of selected number of weight plates that correspond to the selected predefined position, getting engaged with the handle which results in the selected number of weight plates moving out of the nesting tray along with the handle when the handle is moved away from the nesting tray.
Abstract: A soft kettlebell and methods for making the soft kettlebell. The soft kettlebell may generally comprise a body, the body having a soft outer shell and an inner weighted fill material, and a handle attached to the body. One or more embodiments of the soft kettlebell may provide for a safer alternative to conventional kettlebells while allowing a user the flexibility of performing similar weight training exercises as with the conventional kettlebells. The soft body of the soft kettlebell may dampen any inadvertent impact against users and surrounding objects if dropped or if loss of control occurs.
