  • Patent number: 5993870
Abstract: A holder and coating device for use with handle-mounted confectionery products such as lollipops, or ice cream treats or the like. The confectionery holder holds and stores both a handle-mounted confectionery product and an edible topping of a particulate material, and facilitates coating the confectionery product with the topping. The holder has a base and a removable cover for gaining access to the confectionery product. The base holds a supply of the edible coating. When the device is manipulated, the edible coating is applied to the confectionery product.

  • Patent number: 5955125
Abstract: The present invention relates to a confectionary holder which simulates the sound of rain as the holder is vertically positioned. The holder comprises a transparent tube having ends, two sides, and at least two sets of indents directed inward toward the center of the tube and one set of indents per side of the tube. Each indent has a peak, a peak depth, a sloping upper face, a sloping lower face, and between each indent is a space length. The peaks of said indents alternate from one side to the other side along the tube length. The angle of incline of each indent face and the length of the space between each indent are selected to allow rigid items, e.g., candy or gum, when placed in the holder, to create the sound of rain as the confectionary pieces flow downward dropping onto each indent face, sliding off each face, and moving from side to side from one end of the holder to the other end when the holder is vertically positioned.

  • Patent number: 5879218
Abstract: A bubble making apparatus and method for producing an orderly chain of simply connected large bubbles. Bubble forming vents are provided into a bubble forming chamber at one end of a bubble forming tube. Bubbles propagate along the tube and are expelled through a bubble outlet port as a chain of bubbles with the aid of air flow through bubble propulsion vents. The chain of bubbles is supported by air flow from an air outlet port disposed below the bubble outlet port.

  • Patent number: 5673813
Abstract: A candy dispensing device uses an impeller to impart centrifugal force to a mass of candies held in the dispenser's housing. The swirling mass of candies may be a source of amusement to the user and may be used to dispense the candies through a spout. In one version of the invention, the dispensing device includes a handle and is sized to be portable by the user. The dispensing device uses a combination cap with two cap portions, one to cover the fill mouth, and the other to cover the spout.

  • Patent number: 5542570
Abstract: A transparent thermoplastic housing has an upper and a lower compartment divided by a ramp. The lower compartment houses a battery, motor and drive mechanism for turning a candy dispensing screw in communication with the upper compartment. The lower compartment is hidden by an outer opaque label. Candy pieces of like dimensions are stored in the upper compartment and fed serially to the screw by a first channel formed with the ramp. A second channel next to the screw along its length maintains the candy received from the first channel aligned serially. The screw displaces the candy from the first channel to the second channel and to a dispensing port at the top of the housing. A clutch in the drive mechanism permits the screw to be turned manually.

  • Patent number: 5518436
Abstract: A stretchable toy figure which preferably has the ability to be altered from a first, unposable state to a second, posable state by reducing the pressure on the interior of the toy figure. The reduced pressure can also preferably alter the appearance of the toy figure. A manifold assembly for reducing the pressure on the interior of a toy figure includes two one-way valves. A valve through which air may be removed from the interior of the manifold includes a knob adapted to be associated with a device for reducing pressure. A second valve, when opened by a switch, allows air to enter the interior of the manifold when the pressure therein is below ambient pressure. The toy figure can alternatively utilize a single, two-way valve.

  • Patent number: 5224699
Abstract: A basketball game including two hoops and a backboard that is adapted to be mounted indoors on an interior structure, such as a door. Deflectable paddles detect the passage of balls through the hoop. Each score (passage of a ball through a hoop) generates a reproduced human voice announcement. A microprocessor registers each score and keeps track of the differential between the number of balls passing through each respective hoop. The score differential is displayed along a row of light emitting diodes. The first player to achieve a four hoop differential in his favor is the winner. Two players may compete against each other, or one player may compete against himself. In one player mode, the microprocessor registers random scores for the machine. The frequency of machine scores depends upon the skill level selected by the player.

  • Patent number: 5224703
Abstract: A game racquet for propelling and catching a ball. The racquet includes a frame and a handle extending from the frame. A first net is attached to the frame so that it can be stretched relative to the frame to propel a ball when the stretched net is released. A ball receiving pocket is formed as part of the first net. A second net is attached to the frame in a nonstretchable relative inside the first net. The second net is formed of a smaller mesh to prevent a caught ball from passing through or bouncing out of the first net. An elongated arm engaging support is pivotally mounted on the frame for rotation between an arm engaging position in which the support extends away from the racquet and a storage position in which the support is folded against the racquet.

  • Patent number: 5224893
Abstract: A bubble producing toy which resembles a spinning baton. It includes a handle and a cross-member rotatably mounted on the handle. A liquid bubble solution is stored in a reservoir in the hub of the cross-member. A pair of oppositely extending arms form part of the cross-member. A bubble diffuser is attached to the outer end of one of the arms and an imitation bubble diffuser is attached to the outer end of the other arm. The bubble diffuser arm is hollow and functions as a conduit to deliver the liquid bubble solution to the diffuser. The diffuser has a rotating wand which is driven by the rotation of the cross-member relative to the handle. The wand wipes a film of liquid bubble solution across elongated openings in the bubble diffuser. Air passing through passages in the rotating wand and the bubble diffuser creates bubbles from the liquid bubble solution film.

  • Patent number: RE35577
Abstract: This invention relates to novelties and in particular to a novel candy holding and dispensing device which dispenses a liquid edible filling from a reservoir through a hollow stick attached to the sucker and through an channel (s) in the sucker type candy. This device includes a hollow plastic housing or reservoir which would contain a liquid edible filling. The hollow plastic housing may be pliable for applying a squeeze pressure to the liquid or of a hard plastic for which a piston force is necessary to force the liquid from the plastic housing. For a hard plastic housing or reservoir an attached threaded shaft is used. When turned, the threaded shaft pushes the liquid filling through a hollow stick at the top of the cylinder. The liquid filling then passes out of the hollow stick into a sucker type candy with channel (s) and oozes out at the top of the sucker type candy. The candy combination is now ready for consumption and eaten simultaneously.
