A composition is disclosed and comprises at least one nanostructured lipid carrier, the nanostructured lipid carrier comprising a shell comprising an emulsifier, and an inner matrix comprising a solid lipid and a liquid lipid, wherein the nanostructured lipid carrier has a diameter of 50 nm or less.
