Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for training a machine-learning model to detect characteristics of fraudulent calls. The machine-learning model is trained using audio clips, voice recognition, call handler feedback and general public knowledge of commercial risks to detect and divert fraudulent calls, thereby alleviating the burdens otherwise placed on call center service representatives.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to techniques for generating updating, and/or validating one or more aspects of an access policy for a data bucket, such as based on usage data corresponding to the data bucket, for instance. Some embodiments are particularly directed to automatically generating, updating, and/or validating an access policy for a data bucket based on analysis of log data corresponding to the data bucket. In some embodiments, log data comprising access records to a data bucket may be analyzed to determine access requirements for a set of entities. In some such embodiments, the access requirements for the set of entities may then be used to generate an access policy for the data bucket.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing purchase recommendations. According to some examples, a method may include: determining respective frequency distributions of a plurality of vehicle attributes, the frequency distributions being determined based on occurrences of values of the plurality of vehicle attributes in a set of vehicles; selecting a vehicle attribute from the plurality of vehicle attributes based on the frequency distributions of the plurality of vehicle attributes; transmitting, to a user device, an inquiry for user preference regarding the selected vehicle attribute; receiving, from the user device, a response indicating the user preference; and presenting, to the user device, a recommendation of one or more vehicles determined based on the received response.

Abstract: A server may receive data identifying a requesting user and data identifying a scanned code from a client device. A processor of the server may analyze the data identifying the scanned code to identify a memo associated with the scanned code. The memo may be associated with a creating user. The processor may determine whether the requesting user is the creating user by analyzing the data identifying the requesting user. In response to determining that the requesting user is the creating user, the processor may permit the client device to access a private account associated with the creating user. In response to determining that the requesting user is not the creating user, the processor may cause the client device to display a message associated with the memo.

Abstract: A method for displaying video on a user device may include detecting a beacon, determining a location of the user device, detecting a first orientation of the user device by one or more first motion accelerometers, detecting a second orientation of the user device by one or more second motion accelerometers, receiving beacon location information, comparing at least one of the first orientation and the second orientation to the beacon location information, based on the comparing at least one of the first orientation and the second orientation to the beacon location information, creating a connection to the camera, requesting video from the camera by the user device, receiving the video captured by the camera, displaying a first window on a display of the user device, and displaying the video captured by the camera on the display of the user device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for hybrid energy harvesting for transaction cards are disclosed. Embodiments include a transaction card comprising a data storage device configured to supply account information to a transaction card terminal, a primary rechargeable power source to allow recharging and further to receive charging energy from the transaction card terminal during a transaction using the card, a secondary rechargeable power source configured to receive energy from the first rechargeable power source, and a power controller configured to control a flow of energy between the first and second rechargeable power sources.

The method comprises executing a purchase transaction on the card, the transaction relating to an event, charging a power source on the card, receiving an input signal by the card, the signal indicating an output indication relevant to the event, and generating an output signal using power from the power source, based on the input signal. Abstract: Provided, in an aspect, is a method for improving security in an automated teller machine (ATM) network, which includes prompting a user, via the ATM, to provide a biometric sample; receiving the sample from a biometric device of the ATM; determining that the sample is not blacklisted; and allowing the user to complete a transaction. Because the method includes storing anonymized event details, which include the biometric sample separate from user-identifying information, the method both improves privacy for law-abiding users and deters malicious use by others.

Abstract: Logic may adjust communications between customers. Logic may cluster customers into a first group associated with a first subset of synonyms and a second group associated with a second subset of the synonyms. Logic may associate a first tag with the first group and with each of the synonyms of the first subset. Logic may associate a second tag with the second group and with each of the synonyms of the second subset. Logic may associate one or more models with pairs of the groups. A first pair may comprise the first group and the second group. The first model associated with the first pair may adjust words in communications between the first group and the second group, based on the synonyms associated with the first pair, by replacement of words in a communication between customers of the first subset and customers of the second sub set.

Abstract: A system includes one or more memory devices storing instructions, and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to perform steps of a method for providing customer data access during a migration process. The system may initiate a transfer of customer data from a source data server to a system platform and transfer a subset of the customer data to a temporary data storage. The system may modify the temporary copy of customer data and generate an instruction to modify the permanent copy of customer data. In response to the completion of the transfer of customer data from the source data server to the system mainframe, the system may then transfer and execute the instruction to modify the permanent copy of customer data.

Abstract: Systems and methods for improved security authentication are disclosed. In some embodiments, an improved system for security authentication may include a plurality of computing devices, and a server system communicatively coupled to the plurality of computing devices. The server system may be configured to receive a request for security authentication, determine an authorization providing computing device from among the plurality of computer devices based on authentication preferences stored in a database communicatively coupled to the server system, generate and transmit authentication information to the determined authorization providing computing device, receive, from an initiating computing device an authentication input, determine whether the received authentication input matches the transmitted authentication information, and complete the request for security authentication when the received authentication input matches the generated and transmitted authentication information.

The device retrieves, based on verifying the user, a random function from a random functions data structure associated with the device, and utilizes the random function to select parameters and values for a user function. The device utilizes the user function, the parameters, and the values to generate a custom encryption function, and encrypts the custom encryption function to form an encrypted custom encryption function. The device provides the encrypted custom encryption function to the client device and the server device to permit encrypted communication between the client device and the server device using the custom encryption function.

Abstract: A transaction processing system for performing one or more steps of a method is disclosed. The system may receive user receipt preferences including rules specifying whether or not a user wants a receipt. The system may also receive (i) a purchase authorization request associated with an attempted purchase and (ii) user device location data. The system may further set a receipt flag corresponding to the receipt status. If the system determines that the transaction is to be authorized, it attaches the receipt flag to the authorization message and transmits the authorization message to the merchant. Alternatively, if the system determines that the transaction is not to be authorized, it attaches the receipt flag to the cancellation message and transmits the cancellation message to the merchant.

The operations may include receiving, from the user, a dispute request to dispute a charge to the payment account applied by the merchant. In response to the dispute request, the operations may include determining whether to block subsequent charges applied by the merchant to the payment account, based on a history of charging activities of the merchant. Responsive to a determination to block subsequent charges, the operations may include adding the merchant to a block-charge list associated with the payment account.

Abstract: Techniques for providing a real-time service that protects personal data of clients from customer service agents are provided. Customer data that includes personal data indicative of sensitive information of a customer can be received from the customer. The personal data within the received customer data can be detected and a token that does not include the sensitive information of the customer can be generated. The personal data and the generated token can be stored along with data indicating a relationship between the token and the personal data. The personal data in the received customer data can be replaced by the token to form modified customer data. The modified customer data can be provided to a customer service representative. The token within the modified customer data can later be detected and associated with the personal data without revealing the personal data to the customer service representative.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing a cash advance service associated with a payment account of a user. An exemplary method may include providing, to a device of the user, instructions to display an application interface, the application interface receiving user requests to enable and disable the cash advance service. The method may also include receiving, through the application interface, a request to enable the cash advance service. The method may further include associating a transaction rule with the payment account, the transaction rule defining a condition upon which approval of a cash advance transaction is permitted. The method may further include receiving a cash advance transaction authorization request associated with the payment account. The method may further include approving the cash advance transaction authorization request when the condition is met and declining the cash advance transaction authorization request when the condition is not met.
