Abstract: Systems, methods, articles of manufacture, and computer-readable media. A web browser of a device may receive selection of a uniform resource locator (URL). An operating system may download an application from an application server based on the URL. The application may identify a plurality of applications installed on the device and select a first institution corresponding to a first application. The application may receive a cryptogram from a contactless card associated with the first institution and transmit the cryptogram to an authentication server. The application may receive an authentication result specifying the authentication server decrypted the cryptogram. The web browser may receive, based on the decryption of the cryptogram, an account number, an expiration date associated with the account number, and a card verification value (CVV) associated with the account number. The web browser may provide the account number, expiration date, and CVV to a server associated with the application.

Abstract: The disclosed technology relates to Spend Limit Systems for gas-station refuel transactions. An exemplary system may receive vehicle information identifying a customer's vehicle and identify associated vehicle characteristics (e.g., gas tank size). The system may identify a known gas-station transaction geographic region for the customer. When the customer (or a fraudster) attempts to purchase gas, the system may receive a transaction request and, in response, set a single transaction limit sufficient to fill the gas tank size with gas and an associated spend limit. The system may also determine whether the merchant location falls within the known gas-station transaction geographic region. When it does, the system may approve the transaction request up to the spend limit. Otherwise, the system may perform one or more fraud prevention actions to authenticate the customer and either approve or deny the transaction request up to the spend limit and/or selectively perform fraud mitigation action(s).

Abstract: A method may include receiving, from a client device, a reservation time and image data relating to a desired room; receiving, from a network storage device, facility data for a plurality of rooms; identifying, using an image recognition model, the desired room based on the image data and the facility data; determining an availability of the desired room based on the reservation time and the facility data; generating a first reservation option to reserve the desired room and/or a second reservation option to reserve an alternate room; transmitting, to the client device, the first reservation option and/or the second reservation option; receiving, from the client device, a user selection of the first reservation option and/or the second reservation option; and transmitting, to the network storage device, an instruction to reserve the desired room and/or the alternate room.

Abstract: Systems and methods for remediation of software configurations are disclosed. The system may store a plurality of configuration policies in a compliance repository. The system may receive trigger data including at least one compliance error and indicating a software instance operating on a cloud service is out of compliance. The system may compare the at least one compliance error with the plurality of configuration policies. When at least one compliance error matches at least one configuration policy, the system may identify a software configuration file and apply the matching configuration policy to the software configuration file to remediate the software instance. When the at least one compliance error does not match at least one configuration policy, the system may generate a new configuration policy, validate the new configuration policy, and apply the new configuration policy to the software configuration file to remediate the software instance.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for authorizing an electronic transaction. In one implementation at least one processor is programmed to receive electronic transaction data and historical transaction data, the electronic transaction data including an entity identifier component and an amount component of an electronic transaction; determine, based on the entity identifier component and the amount component, a location of the electronic transaction in a space of a distributed representation space, the distributed representation space comprising a mapping of electronic transaction components in a high-order space; determine locations of the historical transaction data in the distributed representation space; determine a decision boundary in the distributed representation space based on the locations of the historical transaction data; and authorize the electronic transaction based on the location of the electronic transaction being within the decision boundary.

Abstract: A serverless computing framework is secured against malicious payload injection. A series of functions can be strung together to perform a workflow in response to a triggering event. A validator can be included with a function that verifies that an input payload originated from a trusted source. A validation value, such as a hash, can be computed based on the result payload in combination with the source code of the function that produced the result payload. A downstream function can receive the result payload and the hash and utilize the result payload and a copy of the upstream source code to produce another hash. The received and generated hashes can then be compared and utilized to control execution of the downstream function. Execution can be prevented when there is a mismatch between the hashes.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described for maintaining hygienic conditions in automatic teller machines by detecting whether or not a user is not in compliance with a hygienic standard. If a user is not in compliance, then the automatic teller machine may execute a hygienic action to cleanse the automatic teller machine. For example, the hygienic action may comprise automatically cleansing the automatic teller machine, disabling the automatic teller machine from service, transmitting a sanitation service request to an automatic teller machine provide, and/or initiating an alternative control scheme (e.g., voice controls, gesture-based controls, etc.) for the automatic teller machine.

Abstract: Methods and systems for using machine learning models to organize and select modular components for user interface templates. For example, the methods and systems may use machine learning and/or artificial intelligence to generate user interfaces with a preferred number of user input fields and/or pages, in which the preferred number both satisfies any requirements for the user interface (e.g., information, categories of information, etc.), and ensures that all privacy concerns are met.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for improving computer authentication processes by using physical environment information. A computing device may receive video depicting a physical environment and process that video to identify one or more first objects. The computing device may receive a request for access to an account. The computing device may send a prompt for a physical environment description and receive, in response, an indication of one or more second objects. The indication of the one or more second objects may comprise video of the physical environment, a verbal description of the physical environment, and/or text describing the physical environment. The computing device may grant the user device access to the account based on comparing the one or more first objects to the one or more second objects.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for risk analysis of web pages using a machine learning model are described herein. A computing device may receive a risk detection machine learning model trained to receive input corresponding to a web page and output an indication of risk associated with the web page. The computing device may execute a web browser application and collect user activity data by monitoring user activity associated with the web browser application. The computing device may access, via the web browser application, a first web page, and collect page data associated with the first web page. The computing device may calculate a risk level of the first web page. The risk level may be calculated by processing, using the risk detection machine learning model, both the user activity data and the page data. A security recommendation may be output based on the risk level.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments may provide an approach to converting multidimensional color data for an image encoded in a first color space into an intermediate form that is a single dimensional value. The exemplary embodiments may then decode the intermediate form value to produce an encoding of the color data that is encoded in a second color space that differs from the first color space. In this manner, the data for the image may be efficiently converted from an encoding in the first color space into an encoding in the second color space.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for improving the security of personal information by preventing attempts at gleaning personal information from authentication questions. A computing device may receive a request for access to an account associated with a user. The request may comprise candidate authentication information. Based on comparing the candidate authentication information with the account data, the computing device may generate a synthetic authentication question. The synthetic authentication question may be generated as if the candidate authentication information is valid. A response to the synthetic authentication question may be received, and the request for access to the account may be denied.

Abstract: An event processing system may identify duplicate events and prevent one or more of the duplicate events from being processed. The event processing system may determine the duplicate events, which are not permitted to be processed more than once, and allow these duplicate events to be processed exactly once. The event processing system may allow events, which are permitted to be processed more than once, to be processed without determining whether the events are duplicate events. If a main data center of the event processing system fails, a backup data center may take over instantly event processing from the main data center and may prevent events that have been processed by the main data center from being processed. Multiple data centers may work together and process events in an active-active mode by offering the exactly once processing as well as removing any duplicate events from upstream systems.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are described for determining compliance with a plurality of restrictions associated with one or more devices in an organization. First text indicating restrictions may be received, and second text indicating a current configuration of one or more devices may be received. Both sets of text may be processed by, e.g., removing a portion of the text based on a predetermined list of terms and simplifying the text using a lemmatization algorithm. A first vector and second vector may be generated based on the processed sets of text, and each vector may be weighted based on an inverse frequency of words in their respective text. Each vector may be normalized based on semantic analysis. The two vectors may be compared. Based on the comparison, third text corresponding to a portion of the second vector may be generated and transmitted to a third computing device.

Abstract: A fraud detection platform may receive transaction data relating to a transaction conducted by a user with a transaction card. The fraud detection platform may receive, from a biometric sensor of the transaction card, biometric data relating to one or more biometric characteristics of the user during the transaction. The fraud detection platform may receive, from an accelerometer of the transaction card, card movement data relating to a measure of shaking of the transaction card by the user during the transaction. The fraud detection platform may process the transaction data, the biometric data, and the card movement data, with a fraud detection model, to determine a fraud score associated with the transaction. The fraud detection platform may perform one or more actions based on the fraud score.

Abstract: A payment instrument comprising a bottom layer; one or more intermediate layers, wherein at least one of the one or more intermediate layers comprises: a chip comprising a processor and memory; an antenna coupled with the chip; an absorbent medium; and one or more reservoirs comprising beads, each of the beads comprising dyes of one or more colors, the beads configured to release the dyes onto the absorption medium. The dyes cure on the absorption medium at a rate based on a curing agent applied to the absorbent medium or included in beads of the reservoirs. The payment instrument may also comprise a top layer having at least a partially translucent portion above the absorption medium, wherein the absorption medium is at least partially visible through the at least one partially translucent portion.

Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for extracting text from a document. Different optical character recognition (OCR) tools are used to extract different versions of the text in the document. Metrics evaluating the quality of the extracted text are compared to identify and select higher quality extracted text. A selected portion of text is compared to a threshold to ensure minimal quality. The selected portion of text is then saved. Error correction can be applied to the selected portion of text based on errors specific to the OCR tools or the document contents.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for creating a personalized visual code for completing a transaction at an Automated Teller Machine (ATM). An embodiment operates by receiving a request to complete a transaction from a mobile application on a user device, pairing the transaction with an ATM, retrieving information unique to the user, generating a personalized visual code based on the information unique to the user, and generating a rule for presenting the personalized visual code on the ATM, the rule including at least one of: i) when the personalized visual code should be presented, ii) how long the personalized visual code is to be presented, or iii) how the personalized visual code should move when presented on the ATM.

Abstract: Cards having a hybrid construction including a biodegradable portion and related methods are disclosed. A card can include a card body having a top surface and a bottom surface opposite the top surface, the top and bottom surfaces meeting at a peripheral edge of the card body; and a first portion secured to a second portion such that the top surface of the card body spans both the first and second portions and the bottom surface is formed entirely of the second portion. The card can further include a chip secured to the first portion of the card body; wherein the peripheral edge includes at least an insertion edge of the first portion; wherein the second portion of the card body comprises a biodegradable material; and wherein the first portion and a recyclable portion meet at a frangible junction on the top surface of the card body.
