Abstract: A modification for window or door assemblies having interlocks on the sash rails where insulating material is placed between the interlock of a lower rail to an upper sash and the interlock of an upper rail to a lower sash so as to act as a thermal barrier against heat conduction through the upper sash which is exposed to exterior climate of the building in which the window or door assembly is being used.
Abstract: A method of forming a dual thermal barrier hollow wherein separate metal shapes are joined together with a non-conductive adhesive tape and a thermal barrier material is poured into receiving channels suitably formed by the joining of the two metal shapes, and upon hardening of the thermal barrier material, a dual thermal barrier hollow having structural integrity is formed.
Abstract: A dual thermal barrier hollow comprised of separate metal shapes joined together with a non-conductive adhesive tape and a thermal barrier material.
Abstract: An interlocking mullion or window jamb of variable or adjustable angularity for use in bow or bay windows. The construction can be used with metal, plastic or wood windows.
Abstract: The invention comprises a basic metal window which is so constructed as to receive an interior snap-on plastic window. Exterior metal framing members are provided with tracks or openings which can accommodate various width panels such as single-glazed panels, double-glazed panels, screen panels or other panels as desired. Interior plastic framing members are also provided with suitable tracks for receiving sashes or glass panels. When the interior plastic window is attached to an exterior metal window, an insulated or thermal barrier window construction is provided.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a combination glass spacer and plastic film holder for installation in an insulated glass panel. A channel or opening for receiving an edge of a thin plastic sheet or film is integrally formed at the upper or topside of a somewhat rectangular shaped longitudinal tubular member.
Abstract: A false muntin assembly for converting a single window pane into one having multiple lights by having a muntin bar of desired outside appearance with a central hole and channel lengthwise along the back of the muntin bar, using pin connectors at intersections and in the peripheral sash and adhering snap-fit metal clips to the glazing panel in line with the false muntin design to prevent the false muntin from floating away from the pane.
Abstract: A thermally insulated hinged window or door having a sash rail with a metal frame around the periphery thereof which is shielded from exposure to interior or exterior ambient temperatures by an extended overlapping frame member and seal to the glazing gasket perimeter.
