Abstract: A capsule of plastic material for infusion bottles comprises a capsule body adapted to be fitted on a neck of a bottle for retaining a pierceable plug in place, and a capsule cap to be fitted on the capsule body, the capsule body having a top wall provided with a hole and a downwardly extending annular ridge formed around the hole at a distance from the latter, the capsule cap having a plug formed so as to fit into the hole of the capsule body and provided with an annular rim on its periphery so as to be folded outwardly and to fit into a space defined by the pierceable plug, the top wall of the capsule body and the annular ridge of the capsule body.
Abstract: A method is provided wherein a plant for filling vials and similar containers comprising syringes and filling nozzles as well as nozzles for nitrogen injection is submitted to one or more washings and to a steam sterilization. Sterile nitrogen is then fed to the plant at slight overpressure to maintain the plant in sterile condition until it is used again. The device to carry out the method comprises a line for nitrogen injection, of the type normally used for nitrogen injection into vials, provided with an offtake connected by means of valves to the lines for water and steam feeding in order to alternatively feed water, steam or nitrogen to the syringes and filling nozzles, and steam or nitrogen to the injection nozzles and to the sterile filter for nitrogen filtration. The device is preferably automatically operated.
Abstract: A closure for monodose bottles having a reservoir with a breakable bottom fittable into bottle openings. A cylindrical element having a lower end with a cutting edge is inserted in the reservoir. A sealing cap is fittable around a bottle neck, the sealing cap includes a top wall, and cylindrical wall connected by a breaking line which is easily manually broken, and provides a means by which the entire cap is removed to expose the cylindrical element.
Abstract: A syringe for the measured filling of a container, such as a bottle or the like, particularly for use on rotary-head filling machines, of the type including a valve means (11) having a cylinder body and arranged to selectively communicate an inlet conduit (5) and an outlet conduit (6) with a cylinder chamber (2) in which a double-acting piston (7) is slidably received, wherein during the cleaning and/or sterilizing of the syringe, both said valve means (11) and piston (7) are positioned within a widening (4) in the cylinder chamber (2) such that pressurized liquid or steam from the inlet conduit (5) will impinge upon and sweep all over the inner wall of cylinder chamber (2), the surface of the valve (11), the piston (7) and the associated portion of piston rod (8) extending inside the cylinder (2), with liquid or steam also flowing through a valve passage (12) in valve means (11).
Abstract: A safety closure for a bottle or the like equipped with a dropper, comprising a dropper (4) having near its base an annular projection (5) bearing on the edge of the mouth of the bottle (1), a cap (9) enclosing the dropper and having at its base a collar (11) which lies over said annular projection (5) of dropper (4) and is pressed down onto this latter by the flat top part (14) of a safety strap (13) rolled around the neck (2) of the bottle, wherein said cap (9) and said collar (11) have means (17-19) for engagement of these two elements with one another, which means (17-19) ensure that the cap is kept in place after a first utilization, the collar (11) further having means for engagement with said saftey strap (13).
