Abstract: Methods and apparatus provide for modifying a patient's femur to receive a patellofemoral prosthesis, including: a distal punch, an anterior punch and a trochlear punch which are used in well defined orientations to remove material from the femur to accommodate complex geometries of a patellofemoral prosthesis; and optionally a guide operating to engage a distal end of the femur, the guide including a distal slot, an anterior slot and a transverse slot, which ensure that the punches achieve the desired orientations.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus provide for modifying an intercondylar notch of a patient's femur, including cutting bone from the intercondylar notch using a hole saw having a hollow cylinder and a circular cutting edge, where the hollow cylinder of the hole saw defines a central longitudinal axis which is oriented with reference to the patient's femur such that the circular cutting edge of the hole saw removes a portion of material from the intercondylar notch of the patient's femur.

Abstract: A system of reconstruction for a spinal joint allows adjacent vertebrae to move relative to each other in a generally pivotal manner and in a limited sliding manner in either or both of the anterior-posterior direction and the medial-lateral direction. The system includes base components and a middle component. The base components are for attachment to adjacent vertebrae and support a pivoting cooperative engagement of a concave or cup-shaped component with a convex or dome-shaped component.
