Publication number: 20120201393Abstract: Compensating for varying degrees of ambient noise in a mobile device. One possible noise compensation application has a plurality of selectable settings associated with a range of speeds of motion. This noise compensation application, when executed by the processor, configures the control circuit to: receive an input from the detector, detect an amplitude of the input, compare the amplitude with a selected one of the settings, and selectively adjust an amplification device when the detected amplitude is within a prescribed range. Another possible noise compensation application has plurality of selectable settings each associated with a range of audio frequencies. This noise compensation application, when executed by the processor, configures the control circuit to: receive an input from the detector, detect a frequency of the input, compare the frequency with a selected one of the settings, and selectively filter the ambient noise when the detected frequency is within a prescribed range.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 4, 2011Publication date: August 9, 2012Applicant: Cardo Systems, Inc.Inventors: James K. Publication number: 20120148080Abstract: Device for mounting a communication headset to helmets of the type having a first strap extending in front of an ear of a user, a second strap extending behind the ear, and a chin strap connectable to the first and second straps, for instance, sports helmets. The device includes a mounting panel having a seat that includes electrical contacts connected to a printed circuit board and a guide. A rear of the mounting panel spans a distance that overlaps the first second straps. A second surface also spans the distance that overlaps the first and second straps and is movable relative to the mounting panel. A clamp resiliently biases the second surface into contact with the rear surface of the mounting panel but is urgable so as to move the second surface away from the rear surface allowing the device to be fastened to or removed from the helmet.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 8, 2010Publication date: June 14, 2012Applicant: Cardo Systems, Inc.Inventors: Avraham Kushnirov, Yossef Twina
