  • Patent number: 11533849
Abstract: An attachment for connection to a harvester comprises a plurality of picking devices (2) arranged next to each other and in a distributed manner along the working width. Each picking device (2) has a picking gap (6), below which are disposed at least two picking rotors (10) which can be driven to rotate in opposite directions, the picking rotors (10) being provided with flutes (12), which project in a radial direction beyond the rotor casing (16) and the enveloping circles (20) of which mesh with each other. To propose a way of easily adapting the picking rotors to different harvesting conditions without having to replace them all, the invention proposes for one or more shear bars (18) which are releasably connected to the picking rotor (10) and/or to the flutes (12) to be inserted in the intermediate space (22) between adjacent flutes (12) of a picking rotor (10), the shear bars filling portions of said intermediate space during a rotating movement of the picking rotors (10).

  • Patent number: 10765066
Abstract: A harvesting head has a middle section connected to a carrier device and at least one side section connected by an articulated connection to the middle section about which the side section pivots between a lower and an upper limit value. The carrier device has a height adjustment device whose adjusting movements are controlled by a control. The harvesting head has a sensor transmitting a sensor signal to the evaluation device at least upon pivoting of the side section when a limit value has been achieved during pivoting of the side section to the middle section. The evaluation device switches upon the presence of a corresponding sensor signal into a correction mode for height adjustment of the carrier device. The evaluation device outputs an adjusting signal in the correction mode to adjust the carrier device up or down by the evaluation device according to the sensor signal.

  • Patent number: 10212884
Abstract: A header for stalk crop has a multi-part cutter bar with oscillatingly driven cutter bar parts. Cutter bar knives of the cutter bar interact with counter knives connected to header frame. A drive shaft ends in a first plane inside a gear housing arranged behind the cutter bar. An eccentric shaft supported in the gear housing carries a gear wheel arranged in a second plane above or below the first plane. The drive shaft drives the gear wheel through a bevel gear. First and second eccentric discs, arranged in third and fourth planes, respectively, are connected to the eccentric shaft; first and second eccentric levers are correlated therewith. First and second pivot levers are connected to the first and second eccentric levers and connected to stationarily supported pivot shafts. Crank arms connected to the pivot shafts, respectively, transmit their pivot movement to the cutter bar parts.

  • Patent number: 10143136
Abstract: A header has frame sections that are joined for articulation with each other. The frame sections each form a partial working width of the header. The frame sections include outer lateral frame sections and a central frame section. A relief element is connected to the central frame section and an outer lateral frame section adjacent to the central frame section. The relief element is adjustable between a springy setting and a locked setting. The relief element has a spring movable in a loading direction and also a spatial body rigid in the loading direction. The spring is connected to the first outer lateral frame section by a bolt guided in a slotted hole of the rigid spatial body. A pivotable stop element with stops is pivotable into a plurality of pivot positions. A spring travel of the spring is adjustable by the stops of the stop element.

  • Patent number: 9357697
Abstract: An agricultural cutting device has knife bar sections with section knife blades. A drive with phase offset drives the knife bar sections at least temporarily in opposite directions. The section knife blades interact scissor-like with counter knives. The knife bar sections have adjacently positioned bar ends. When the knife bar sections move, a gap of varying size is formed between the bar ends. A mowing finger is arranged at the gap. A stationary knife blade with first cutting edges is arranged at the mowing finger. The first cutting edges are arranged adjacent to the mowing finger and extend at a slant relative to a forward travel direction of the cutting device so that the cutting edges have a V-shaped arrangement broadening in travel direction. The knife bar sections have an outer knife blade attached to the bar ends whose cutting edges extend parallel to the travel direction.

  • Patent number: 8935908
Abstract: A corn head attachment has a sweeper device extending across a working width of the corn head attachment. The sweeper device is attached to the attachment frame by support arms pivotable about a first pivot. The sweeper device position relative to the frame is adjustable by a longitudinal adjusting device parallel to the travel direction and height-adjustable about the first pivots. The adjusting device moves the sweeper device along a curved path in a first direction away from a first position, in which a rotary axle of the sweeper device is at a leading area of a harvesting slot, into a second position above a rearward area of the harvesting slot and also moves the sweeper device in opposite direction. The adjustment of the sweeper device along the curved path is controlled by a forced guiding action to avoid collision of the sweeper device with other corn head attachment components.
