Abstract: A seat-belt strap for a seat-belt system in a motor vehicle has a woven fabric consisting of warp threads and weft threads. The seat-belt strap is woven alternately with a 1/2 twill weave and a 2/1 twill weave across at least part of its width.
Abstract: A process for producing a safety belt for use in a motor vehicle comprises the insertion of two yarns into a least one shed. Two weft yarns are inserted over the entire width of the fabric, with one inserted on one side of the fabric and the other on the other side of the fabric at the same time. In addition, a third weft yarn binds over a part of the fabric with warp yarns.
Abstract: A releasable locking mechanism for safety belts including a lock tongue connected with the end of one belt member and a casing connected with the end of a second belt member operates with a locking bolt slideably guided on a support surface to engage and disengage a stop surface on the lock tongue for locking and releasing the safety belt. A spring loaded release member urges the locking bolt along the support surface to release the lock tongue from locking engagement therewith. The support surface is defined on the casing to extend transversely relative to a planar slot within which the lock tongue is inserted and the stop surfaces on the lock tongue and the support surface upon which the locking bolt slides are arranged to define therebetween an acute angle.
Abstract: In a safety restraining device useful as a child's seat for a motor vehicle, a first restraining body is pivotally mounted for movement from a first position where a child has freedom of movement and can use the body as a table surface, to a second position where the body prevents the forward movement of the child's upper body when a sudden strong deceleration of the vehicle occurs. A flywheel mass mounted in the first restraining body or in an associated side member effects the movement of the first restraining body into the second position. In addition, a stationary second restraining body cooperates with the first restraining body to hold the legs and pelvic region of the child when the first restraining body moves to the second position.
Abstract: A padded headrest for the seat back of a motor vehicle includes a stirrup-shaped mounting body pivotally mounted on a horizontal support through vertical supports which are longitudinally adjustably connected to the mounting body and which are fastened in corresponding receiving parts at the seat back. The assembly consists of a device for securing the headrest body in each adjusted inclined position at the horizontal support and is characterized in that the stirrup-shaped mounting body of the headrest body is longitudinally movably guided in at least one helically arranged peripheral recess of a horizontal support having an at least semicircular cross-sectional profile and being attached to vertical supports in a manner preventing the horizontal support from pivoting.
