Patents Assigned to Carl Walther Sportwaffenfabrik
  • Patent number: 4090316
Abstract: A hand firearm has a firing pin which is pivotable between safety and firing positions and a hammer which has a striking surface engaging the firing pin when the firing pin is in its firing position and a recess which receives the firing pin when in its safety position. A first cocking lever is engageable with the hammer to maintain the hammer in its cocked position and there is a release lever pivotable between a first position and a second position in which the release lever engages a firing pin to move the firing pin to its firing position. The first cocking lever is disengaged from the hammer to release the hammer from a cocked position without pivoting of the release lever such that the firing pin remains in its safety position.

  • Patent number: 4028836
Abstract: A small firearm such as a pistol has a pivotally mounted hammer engagable with a firing pin. A trigger rod is pivotally connected to a trigger and is spring biased upwardly toward the hammer so that a notch on the trigger rod is engagable with a roller on the hammer. The notch is urged into temporary engagement with the roller during cocking of the hammer and a pin on the hammer pushes the trigger rod downwardly to disengage the notch from the roller during cocking.

  • Patent number: 4009536
Abstract: A trigger mechanism for firing a firearm comprises an electromagnet including a coil and a movable armature actuated by the coil. The armature is connected to the firing pin so as to move the firing pin when the coil is energized by actuating switch means which connects the coil to a source of electrical energy. The switch means is actuated by a trigger lever or button which closes a normally open switch.

  • Patent number: 3945142
Abstract: A front or rear sight is mounted on a barrel of a firearm by an open ring positioned around the barrel and having spaced ends upon which is mounted a fastening element. A nut is retained on the upper surface of the fastening element and a mount for a sight is positioned over the nut and fastening element. A screw passes through the mount to be threaded into the nut so that tightening of the screw will draw the fastening element and nut upwardly to tighten the ring around the barrel.

  • Patent number: 3942278
Abstract: A hand firearm having a firing pin which is pivotable between lower and upper positions has a slide with a notch in a side thereof within which is received the firing pin. A hammer is engageable with the firing pin when in the upper position and means including a trigger are provided for pivoting the hammer into its cocked position. A release lever is pivoted with the hammer and is engageable with the lower end of the slide to move the slide upwardly and thereby to also move the firing pin into its upper position in which position it is engageable by the hammer. The upward movement of the slide is against the force of the spring which urges the slide and firing pin downwardly into the lower position after firing of the firearm.
