    Abstract: A connector includes a housing having a bore therein. A center conductor element is positioned in the bore and includes a center conductor pin. The center conductor pin is spring-biased to move longitudinally in the housing bore for being compressed. A ground sleeve element is coaxially arranged around the center conductor element and is also spring-biased to move longitudinally in the housing bore for being compressed. The center conductor element and ground sleeve element are coupled together for moving together in the housing bore when compressed. The compressed elements maintain their same coaxial position in the housing bore with respect to each other when the connector is compressed.

    Abstract: A connector assembly for coupling with one or more electrodes includes one or more cables with wires. A plug is electrically coupled with an end or ends of the cables. An electrode connector structure is electrically coupled with the cables and includes a body that is configured for forming an internal space. A cantilevered first arm has an end that cantilevers toward the internal space. The cantilevered first arm has a rest position and a flexed position. A stationary second arm and arm end extend into the internal space opposite the first arm. At least one of the ends of the cantilevered first arm and stationary second arm include an electrical contact. In the rest position, the end of the cantilevered first arm is positioned opposite the stationary second arm a first distance. In the flexed position, the cantilevered arm, moves away from the stationary second arm to separate the ends to a greater distance to receive the electrode and returns to the rest position to grip the electrode.

A conductive shielding ring is positioned between the mated connector portions. The shielding ring has a body configured for surrounding flexible tines of the female portion jack and is configured to be captured between the tines and the shroud for providing a grounding path between the male and female portions of the connector. The shielding ring body has an inner surface with a diameter and an outer surface with a diameter and has a taper portion formed on a distal end of the shielding ring body for engaging a surface of the shroud. The shielding ring body has a lip extending radially inwardly at the proximal end for engaging the tines of the female portion when the male and female portions of the connector are mated.

    Abstract: A connector, such as a fiber optic connector, including a protective sealant layer bonded to a mating interface of the connector to protect against contaminants and damage to the mating interface prior to use. The sealant layer may comprise a liquid polymer applied to the mating interface using a seal mold to help prevent the polymer from wicking. The liquid polymer may dry at room temperature by solvent evaporation to form a protective barrier covering the mating interface to protect against physical and chemical damage. The protective seal layer also serves to clean the mating interface upon removal of the seal layer to provide for optimal performance of the connector.

A spring acts on each of the subassemblies to bias the subassemblies to slide away from each other and a sleeve contains the subassemblies and spring, the sleeve securing at least one of the subassemblies while allowing movement of the other of the subassemblies in the sleeve for varying the length of the connector. Each subassembly center conductor includes a respective portion of an electrical contact that cooperate to form a center conductor for the connector. The portions of the electrical contact are configured to slide relative to each other when the connector varies in length for maintaining an electrical signal path through the connector.

The braid layer is woven from of plurality of carbon nanotube yarn elements made of a plurality of carbon nanotube filaments. The carbon nanotube filaments include a carbon nanotube core and metal applied as a layer on the carbon nanotube core for forming a metallized carbon nanotube filaments and yarns woven to form the braid layer.

In one embodiment the threaded shaft includes an aperture that is aligned with the incremental nut apertures for locking the nut at a selected height.
