    Abstract: A door safety device generally includes a mounting member for coupling the device to a door and a blocking member for preventing complete closure of the door when the mounting member is attached to the door and the device is in a blocking configuration. The device can also include an intermediate member coupled between the mounting member and the blocking member. The intermediate member defines a first hinge axis extending in a direction parallel to the surface of the door and parallel to an edge of the door. The blocking member is movable (e.g., rotatable or revolvable) about the first hinge axis, at least when the mounting member is coupled to the door and the device is in a blocking configuration, so as to inhibit the transfer of detachment forces from the blocking member to the mounting member upon impact.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a bi-folding wheelchair (10) with side frames (12) and (14) that fold together with a compound scissor action moving the large rear wheels (96) to a central location while the backrest (50) is folding downwardly. Two separate locking mechanisms (28) and (40) hold the frame apart in the upright position while two additional locking mechanisms (77) hold the backrest (50) upright or down in the collapsed position. All the major components of the conventional wheelchairs like the foot rests, the arm rests, large wheels, caster wheels and the backrest fit into a compact package narrower than the unfolded wheelchair and slightly larger than the diameter of the back wheels with all parts folding in and out simultaneously. The large rear wheel assemblies can be quickly removed further reducing the size and weight of the device for shipping or storage.

    Abstract: The present invention provides novel pharmaceutical compositions for azole antimicrobial drugs such as itraconazole, saperconazole, ketoconazole, and fluconazole. The pharmaceutical compositions are in the form of pellets which comprise a core and a drug emulsion layer, and optionally, a protective layer. The drug emulsion layer contains the azole antimicrobial drug, an emulsifier, a binder, and an absorbent aid. The preferred emulsifier is vitamin E polyethylene glycol succinate. The preferred binder is hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. The preferred absorbent aid is DL malic acid. The drug is dissolved in organic solvents. The preferred organic solvents are ethanol and methylene chloride. The protective layer contains polyethylene glycol (PEG) 20,000, which is coated on the drug emulsion layer.

Optionally, a basic amino acid can be added to the drug emulsion layer or the protective coating. The present invention also provides the method for making the pharmaceutical formulations.
