Abstract: A converter adapted to be mounted within an opening in a wall of a recreational vehicle comprising a receptacle adapted to be received within the opening and an openable cover plate attached to the receptacle to provide access to the interior of the receptacle. A base mounting plate is mounted in the receptacle and a plurality of circuit elements, including a step-down transformer, is mounted on the base mounting plate. Ventilation air is provided through vent openings in the cover plate. By utilizing high frequency alternating current, transformer size is reduced and transformer hum is eliminated.
