Subsequently, a new image is generated by predetermined image processing of a different strength being performed on each position in the original image by use of the generated mask information. In the generation of the new image, for example, one of the original image and a processed image acquired by the predetermined image processing being performed on the original image is combined with the other image by use of transmissivity indicated by the mask information for each pixel.

Abstract: A printing device includes an image former performing an image formation on a recording medium in a rolled shape, and including a first roller pair that rotates to convey the recording medium in the rolled shape, and, a supplier including a second roller pair that rotates to convey the wound-off recording medium in the rolled shape to the image former, and a controller that actively rotates the second roller pair. The image former includes a determiner that determines whether or not the first roller pair that conveys the recording medium in the rolled shape conveyed from the second roller pair has held the recording medium in the rolled shape. When the determiner determines that the recording medium in the rolled shape has been held, the controller stops the active rotation of the second roller pair.

Receiving the advertisement ID light, a portable terminal demodulates and decodes it to acquire the advertisement ID and sends advertisement recognition information including the advertisement ID, time, location of the portable terminal, direction from the portable terminal to the advertisement display device, and terminal ID to a server. The server aggregates the advertisement recognition information for each advertisement and for each time window and creates advertising effect information.

The center cell is formed to have a light-receiving area larger than the light-receiving area of each outer-circumferential cell, taking into consideration a light-shielding area where the pointers overlap with the center cell. Therefore, even though the pointers always overlap with the center cell and part of the pointers overlaps with one of the plurality of outer-circumferential cells, the fluctuation of each light-receiving area of the center cell and the plurality of outer-circumferential cells due to this overlap can be minimized.
