Abstract: In one aspect, a method of mixed media communication is provided. The method includes initializing, via an electronic device, a session associated with a sender device, the session including data of a first media type; determining a destination for the data of a first media type, the determination based on the first media type and available destination information; providing the data of the first media type to the determined destination; receiving data of a second media type for the session with the sender device; determining a second destination for the data of the second media type, the determination based on the second media type and the available destination information; and providing the data of the second media type to the second destination. A device and computer-readable medium for mixed media communication are also described.

Abstract: Systems and methods for clustering emergency services routing proxies are provided. The described features allow a group of ESRPs running as individual servers or a group of virtual servers, to be referenced using a single URI. In one implementation, an emergency services routing proxy device includes an emergency services routing proxy node configured to route a call to a downstream entity, the call received from an upstream entity. The device further includes a cluster manager configured to receive registration information from the emergency services routing proxy node, the registration information including a routing service identifier. The cluster manager may be further configured to identify the emergency services routing proxy node for call routing based on a comparison of an identifier included in the call with the routing service identifier.

The use of distributed call management modules, enables various communication systems, such as RF and PSTN systems, to communicate with each other over the IP network. Audio devices from the various communication systems are each assigned an IP multicast group. Distributed call management modules covert signals from the audio devices into IP packets and transmit the IP packets to designated IP multicast groups over the IP network.

Abstract: Systems and methods for emergency call-center session routing in an all-active cluster formation are provided. Each node in a cluster receives sessions through load balanced distribution. Nodes in the cluster may be configured to use a common database. The database is synchronized across the cluster ensuring that data is accessible by any node in the cluster. Session state is maintained in the database, such that any session can be managed by any node in the cluster.

Abstract: Spatial notification systems and methods are described. In one respect, a spatial notification system includes a spatial information requesting circuit configured to transmit a request for spatial information, the request including a spatial location. The spatial notification system further includes an association circuit configured to associate received spatial information with notification information and a notification delivery system. The spatial notification system also includes a transmitter configured to transmit at least a portion of the spatial information and associated notification information to a notification delivery system.

Abstract: A method, system and memory are provided for enabling interoperability. A communication session between different communication systems, such as radio systems, operating using different protocols is initiated by receiving a scenario identifier from one of the user devices. An interoperability server receives the scenario identifier and accesses interoperability data to obtain the connection information corresponding the scenario matching the scenario identifier. The data includes scenarios for communication sessions and the connections required for each scenario. Once the interoperability server obtains the connection information, the communication session is initiated.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods for collaborative and distributed emergency multimedia data management are described. In one aspect, a system includes a packet data reception interface. The system further includes a rules engine coupled with the packet data reception interface and configured to select a processing profile for packet data received, the rules engine further configured to associate packet data received with stored packet data. The system also includes a policy engine coupled with the rules engine and configured to execute the processing profile for packet data received.

Abstract: Systems and methods by which a user may use a client computing device (such as a mobile phone, for example) to initiate and send a notification message to a selected group of recipients are provided. The notification message may be an audio message that is delivered by various electronic methods including e-mail, text message, and/or voicemail. In defining the notification message, the user is provided with the ability to request a confirmation that the notification message has been received and/or understood by the selected recipients. In some embodiments, recipients are asked to respond to the notification message indicating that they have received and understood the message.

Abstract: A system and method for distributing messages to a plurality of satellite receivers comprising sending a message with geographic target area coding or information via satellite or a ground repeater to at least one satellite receiving device equipped with geographic-aware information. The satellite receiving device thereafter utilizes its geographic aware information to compare with the geographic target area coding in the transmitted message to determine whether the satellite receiving device should present the message to the user of the satellite receiving device.
