  • Patent number: 9801194
Abstract: A telecommunications network, especially an LTE type network, is adapted to a change in configuration. The telecommunications network includes at least a first transmission device, of base station or transmission relay type, and a second transmission device, of base station or transmission relay type. There is no radio link in existence between the first transmission device and the second transmission device before the change in configuration. The process for change includes: detecting a change in the configuration of the telecommunications network; allocating radio resources in the communications frames of the first communications element for determination of the transmission quality with the second communications element; and establishing a radio link between the first transmission device and the second transmission device if the determined transmission quality is advantageous. The process is implemented by a telecommunications networking infrastructure and by a transmission device.

  • Patent number: 9451562
Abstract: A first broadband network divided into sectors and a second narrowband network have collocated cells and a common wide frequency band. The interference produced by the first network on the second network is reduced for a carrier to interference ratio threshold allowable at the reception in the second network. For example, a base station (BSBB,nc) in a given cell (CBB,nc) of the first network attenuates by an attenuation parameter the emission power of each subcarrier which is adjacent to a carrier of one of the groups allocated to preselected cells (CNB,i) of the second network in a sector (Sns) of the given cell and on levels (L0 to LI-1) starting from the given cell (CBB,nc). The attenuation parameter is low for a level close to the given cell.

  • Patent number: 9374825
Abstract: A transmission of information is established between an emitting mobile terminal and at least one receiving mobile terminal of the same group of terminals pertaining to a shared-resource radiocommunication network operating in a direct mode includes the step of emitting by the emitting terminal of a transmission request to inform the other receiving terminals of the group of its intention to transmit information. Each receiving terminal of the group then determines whether, on the basis of at least one pre-defined selection strategy, it will accept the transmission of information. If it will, the receiving terminal transmits a return signal comprising data relating to the emitting terminal to the other terminals of the group. Then, the emitting terminal checks whether it respects the transmission conditions. If it does, the emitting terminal transmits the information to the other terminals in its group via at least one resource allocated to the group.

  • Patent number: 9329044
Abstract: A guidance system (SG) for an individual (IND) moving in an unknown environment establishes a guidance loop (B) between a measurement module (MM) placed on the individual and a remote guidance platform (PG). In the measurement module, a means (CP) collects measurement data (DM) that are transmitted by another means (UC1) of transmission to the guidance platform via a first communication channel. Then, at the guidance platform, a means (UT2) determines the tactical position data (DST) from the transmitted measurement data (DM), and another means (UC2) transmits determined guidance data (DG) from the tactical position data to a communication device of the individual by means of a second communication channel (R2), thus closing the guidance loop.

  • Patent number: 9301168
Abstract: A method for managing a degraded mode of a cell of a cellular network including a site controller for controlling, via a packet network, transmitters distributed over various sites of the cell such that transmitters implementing the same pair of frequencies over different sites form a channel which, in dynamic mode, is allocated dynamically to any communication between terminals of the cell, the channel including a master transmitter selected by the controller. The method includes, in each master transmitter on detection of a failure of the controller: switching in degraded mode of the master transmitter, by associating with the channel a predefined communication known to the terminals, and transmission from the master transmitter, via the network, of a control message informing a control console connected to the packet network of the implementation of the degraded mode so that the console participates in a communication underway in the channel.

  • Patent number: 9253790
Abstract: Radio blocs (BRjp) shared in a predetermined frequency band during a periodic radio frame (TRi) between base stations (BS) are allocated to applications in base stations and mobile stations. Each radio block spreading on frequencies (Cj) of said band during a time slot (M?t) of the radio frame and can be associated with an uplink or a downlink. To meet quality-of-service parameters required by an application, a base station estimates occupation rates of the radio blocks during consecutive radio frames, and allocates to the application at least one radio block having an occupation rate less than a threshold and a periodicity expressed in period of frame and depending on the required quality-of-service parameters. The base station are autonomous for the radio block allocations.
