Abstract: A reversibly deformable frame for the backs of sofas, settees, divan beds and the like comprising a set of rod-shaped members with a vertical axis which can be deformed in any direction placed parallel in a vertical direction and integral with a base having rigid members placed in the vertical direction hinged together and forming a band which can be arched in the horizontal direction, the upper vertical part of the said frame comprising uprights formed from deformable rod-shaped members with a lower rigid part integral with the said band, the entire frame assembly being capable of being fixed to the seat of the sofa or settee to which the back is fitted by means of outer uprights which can be inserted into suitable supports.

Abstract: The invention relates to a chair formed by shaping sheets of feltpreparation of a flat sheet formed by a felt or similar compressed material with a hardening substance; andpunching of the flat sheet in a pattern corresponding to the flat lay-out of the chair to be produced, andarranging all of the incisions and holes required for the successive foldings and applications of its parts; andpossible softening of the hardening substance included in the felt or the impregnation of the felt with a hardening substance; andshaping of the flat sheet to the final form of the chair to be obtained; andhardening of the hardening substance in the zones which must be given the required rigidity, leaving the other zones in the natural state; andassembling of any further parts of the chair; andfinishing treatments of the chair made.
Abstract: A foot for connection to a leg of a table or the like is basically formed by a stack of similarly upwardly tapered one-piece elements including an upper element, at least one intermediate element, and a lower element all centered on a common upright axis and each having a downwardly flaring skirt having an upper edge and a lower edge and a flat plate bridging the upper edge. These elements all are substantially free of internal structure beneath the respective plates and within the skirt but are of sizes decreasing incrementally from the lower element to the upper element. Each plate is formed at the axis with a central hole and the lower edges of at least the upper and intermediate elements each form a downwardly open seat. The plates of at least the lower and intermediate plates are formed offset from the respective central holes with respective upstanding centering formations complementarily engageable in the seats of the respective immediately overlying elements.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of making pieces of furniture, more particularly arm-chairs and the like, starting from flat sheets of felt or the like, and comprising the following phases:preparation of a flat sheet formed by a felt or similar compressed material including or adapted to be associated with a hardening substance;punching of the flat sheet in a pattern corresponding to the flat lay-out of the piece of furniture to be produced, arranging all the incisions and holes required for the successive foldings and applications of its parts;possible softening of the hardening substance included in the felt or the impregnation of the felt with a hardening substance;shaping of the flat sheet to the final form of the piece of furniture to be obtained;hardening of the hardening substance in the zones which must be given the required rigidity, leaving the other zones in the natural state;assembly of any further parts of the piece of furniture for its completion;finishing treatments of the piece of furniture.
