Abstract: A system for mounting objects, such as acoustic panels to a surface is provided. The system includes a door in a façade panel for accessing a mounting structure adapted to receive a fastener that mounts the panel to the surface. The door can include a tab for identifying and opening the door. Methods for mounting objects with an access door and methods for manufacturing tiles are also provided.
Abstract: A sound damping door system having a door frame, a compression seal, a door slab, a bottom seal, and a concealed hinge assembly. The door frame includes male and female components adapted to engage each other in a rough door opening between first and second wall faces; and at least one isolation gasket adapted to be disposed between the male and female components. The compression seal is mounted to the door frame. The door slab includes an outer skin; an arched constrainment sheet inside the outer skin; a damping fill material inside the outer skin; and an acoustic insert inside the outer skin. The bottom seal is mounted to a bottom surface of the door slab such that the bottom seal is permitted to move relative to the door slab.
Abstract: When hard mounting equipment having a base flange to a curb, a mounting method provides a relatively s-shaped restraint bracket shaped to fit over the top of the curb, and the bottom of the base flange, and having thru holes lined up perpendicularly to the bracket. This bracket is then mounted to the curb, and mounting holes are then drilled through the curb at the bracket thru hole location. The mechanical equipment is then placed on the curb, such that the base flange sits in the restraint bracket, and holes are drilled through the base flange at the location of the restraint bracket thru holes. A restraint bolt is then inserted through the holes and tightened in place.
