Abstract: An apparatus comprising a plurality of releasably connected modules adapted to be placed on a road surface for arresting the progress of a vehicle. Each module is equipped with a number of blades which can be protruded or retracted to respectively arrest or allow the passage of vehicle thereover. The modules are interconnected in a manner which enables simultaneous actuation of all the blades and compensates for the camber of the road surface or the misalignment of the modules.
