Abstract: Described herein is a three stage bow string entrapment and release device. The device is unique and novel in that it incorporates trigger travel amplification such that a movement of X at the trigger results in a movement of approximately 1.5× at the critical release surface. Further, by mechanically disconnecting the trigger travel from the release surface, this device eliminates the perception of creep and allows the archer to focus on his or her target and not anticipate the breaking point of the release.
