Patent number: 11629577Abstract: Systems and methods of greenhouse gas removal and subsea sequestration are described herein. Disclosed systems and methods include a direct air capture device capturing greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, a transport apparatus fluidly connected to the at least one direct air capture device, an underwater disposal well fluidly connected to the transport apparatus, and an underwater work apparatus operatively connected to the underwater disposal well. The transport apparatus transfers the greenhouse gases to the underwater disposal well, and the underwater disposal well injects the greenhouse gases into an underwater geologic formation. The greenhouse gases may be solidified as mineral deposits and permanently stored in the underwater geologic formation. Disclosed systems may include a loading system configured to be periodically connected to the transport apparatus. The loading system has a plurality of rotatable joint modules connected by independently actuatable joints.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2022Date of Patent: April 18, 2023Assignee: SEAQUEST CCS, LLCInventor: Daniel Dockter

Patent number: 5813949Abstract: A stationary exercising apparatus which promotes cardiovascular exercise yet minimizes impact to critical joints. A base frame supports a pair of reciprocating members which are displaced in a horizontal direction parallel with the floor at one end yet reciprocate in a circular motion at the other end through a coupling system attached to the frame. Structure is included which permits each foot of the user to move in a generally elliptical path during the climbing exercise. This provides for more movement of the foot platform in a substantially elliptical path while each foot platform, or a predetermined reference plane for each platform, remains substantially parallel with the floor through at least a portion of the lower half of the elliptical path proximate the forward end of the elliptical path.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 1996Date of Patent: September 29, 1998Assignee: CCS, LLCInventor: Robert E. Rodgers, Jr.

Patent number: 5772558Abstract: A stationary exercising device which promotes cardiovascular exercise yet minimizes impact to critical joints, particularly the ankles and knees. A frame supports a linkage assembly having at least one linkage member with a camming surface. The linkage assembly is in turn connected to a coupling system attached to the frame. Structure is included which permits each foot of the user to move the linkage assembly in such a manner as to generate a preferred closed path movement for the foot in a preferred anatomical pattern minimizing unnecessary stress in the joints yet permitting a cardiovascular workout.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 1996Date of Patent: June 30, 1998Assignee: CCS, LLCInventor: Robert E. Rodgers, Jr.

Patent number: 5766113Abstract: A stationary exercising apparatus which promotes cardiovascular exercise yet minimizes impact on critical joints through the generation of a predetermined elliptical path movement while maintaining foot platforms substantially parallel with the floor. A base structure supports a pair of reciprocating members which are displaced in a horizontal direction parallel with the floor at one end yet reciprocate in circular motion at the other end through a coupling system attached to the frame. A linkage assembly is included which operates in conjunction with the reciprocation of one end of the reciprocating members to maintain the foot platforms substantially parallel with a reference plane while revolving the foot platforms in a substantially elliptical path. The apparatus may include additional linkage to facilitate a corresponding upper body exercise involving movement of the arms along a predetermined arc.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 1996Date of Patent: June 16, 1998Assignee: CCS, LLCInventor: Robert E. Patent number: 5683333Abstract: A stationary exercising device which promotes cardiovascular exercise yet minimizes impact to critical joints. This provides for more natural movement of the knee and ankle joints minimizing unnecessary stress on the joints yet permitting a cardiovascular workout. The device may include linkage to facilitate a corresponding upper body exercise involving movement of the arm in which case each hand of the user is displaced along an arc or a substantially elliptical path, again promoting a more natural movement of the ankle, knee, elbow and shoulder joints and permitting a cardiovascular workout.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 1996Date of Patent: November 4, 1997Assignee: CCS, LLCInventor: Robert E. Rodgers, Jr.

Patent number: 5611758Abstract: A stationary recumbent exercising apparatus which promotes cardiovascular exercise yet minimizes impact to critical joints. A base frame supports a chair adapted to place the user in a recumbent position. The frame also supports a pair of reciprocating members supported within. The foot of the user is positioned on foot pads generally at one end of the reciprocating members. The pivotal linkage assemblies also include arm members which are operatively associated with the reciprocating movement of the foot portion of each reciprocating member. This provides for more natural movement of the ankle, knees and hips eliminating unnecessary stress on these joints yet permitting a cardiovascular workout. The arm members also provide for a corresponding upper body exercise.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 1996Date of Patent: March 18, 1997Assignee: CCS, LLCInventor: Robert E. Rodgers, Jr.

Patent number: 5529555Abstract: A crank assembly for use within an exercising device which promotes cardiovascular exercise yet minimizes impact on critical joints, particularly the ankles and knees. The crank assembly employs a dual coupler system which is interconnected for synchronized rotation. Linkage assemblies are provided which define a predetermined path having preferred anatomical pattern for foot movement of the user. The crank assembly can be used in an exercising device which promotes leg exercise primarily, or can be combined with two additional linkage assemblies to provide a combined hand motion with leg movement. In this manner, an enhanced cardiovascular workout is provided which minimizes stress on key joints, particularly the ankles and knees.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 1995Date of Patent: June 25, 1996Assignee: CCS, LLCInventor: Robert E.
